  • Great razor, but users need to understand how safety razors work
A lot of the negative reviews on here focus on 3 things: 1- Handle sheers off at base of threading 2- Razor burn 3- Complaints about being unable to replace the razors safely All three of these issues are not issues with the product it's most likely user error, with the exception that there might have been a razor that has manufacture defects for the handle. The handles sheer off most often because people slam the head onto the sink like it's a mach 3 plastic blade to clear it out instead of just running water in from the side of the head to clean it out and rinsing after each pass. Razor blades need to be replaced every 3 or so shaves, stop using the same blade for 6 months and the razor will work better this happens with every razors. Replacement blades are very easy to find just type in "safety razor blade" and look for a dual sided safety blade you do not need to get the brands blades, I use FACON blades and they're fantastic. When replacing the blade hold it by the sides where it is not sharp to unscrew the handle, set it down on the counter, hold the sides and lift the backing off, remove old blade by the sides, drop new blade into the threads as imaged, place the backing on again, then hold by the sides where it's not sharp, and thread the handle on. The razor works great, not had any cuts with it and no issues. I'm coming from a butterfly razor so compared to that this was a breeze to use. The sharpness of the razor is dependent on the user regularly replacing the disposable blades with decent replacements. I included a series of photos for step by step blade replacement as it did seem that some people are having issues and hopefully the photos help, it sucks to get cuts trying to get a better shave 100%. I can confidently hit the underside of my ear lobes and side burn where it hits the top of my ear and not look like I got into a knife fight. ... show more

  • Good value
Yes. Very nice razer. I purchased a box of blades also, so I'm set for the rest of my life. The plow has just enough weight, and is well balanced. So much easier to handle than the major name brands, at a good cost.

  • 10/10!
Cleanest and closest shave I've ever had in my life! I recommend a shaving kit with oils included for a safe and proper shave.

  • Great Shave, Awkward Blade Change
This safety razor delivers an incredibly smooth shave. I'm genuinely impressed with how close and comfortable the results are—it's definitely a top performer in terms of shaving quality. However, the design for replacing the blade is a significant drawback for me. Unlike models with a handy butterfly feature (where the top opens with a simple twist of the handle bottom), this razor requires you to fully unscrew the entire head to access and swap the blade. It's a fiddly process that feels unnecessarily complicated and, honestly, a bit less secure than the butterfly mechanism when you're handling a sharp, exposed blade. While the shave itself is fantastic, the effort and slightly higher risk involved in the blade change might make me look for an easier-to-load model next time. ... show more

  • Buy this and Try this with your Favorite Blade, you won't be sorry.
Excellent BBS shave with a $35.00 razor I can see why this was being recommended by reviewers in the wet shaving community. Nice weight and balance, worked very well for me with an Astra Green blade, I'll be putting in into my rotation.

  • Solid choice and good price
Good razor for a good price. If you’re looking for a single blade safety razor this is a pretty good option. I’ve had no more issues with ingrown hairs since I started using this razor.

  • Read this before you buy.
Read before you buy. My wife bought this as a Christmas gift and today was its maiden voyage. Out of the box it’s sleek, and heavy, and passes that test that all guys do where they shave a small portion of their hand hair off. It’s razor sharp (little pun) hah. Started off with the freebird head shaver, got my head all cleaned up except for right around the ears. Broke out this puppy and cleaned up some of those hard to get spots and it is scary sharp. Fast forward about 5 minutes, and I’m in the shower looking down at some areas that need attention. I will say for the first time using this, it takes considerably longer to shave your nethers. Why you ask. Because one false move and you’re missing one of your most favorite appendages. Have you ever shaved your balls with a samurai sword. No? Yeah me either, until today. It does shave really close, maybe too close for comfort when you have something that important to you in one hand, and a mini samurai sword in the other. One thing I would say is to make the handle a little longer as an option for some better control over this thing for us giants. Overall this thing is bad to the bone. Which is how deep it’ll cut before you realize it if your not careful. Take my advice and use caution if you want to keep your head (both of em). ... show more

  • Good shave-- Save yourself some money
Solid shave... although I am no beginner, this razor is good for beginners. I prefer them anyway because I don't have to be as careful. So much better than cartridges and way cheaper.
