This is a very cute little book, size is great, however for little hands, more sturdy (I feel) is better for the age range (6-9 mo) that we are in. I love the little Pom Pom & Llama inside! The latch to open/ close is impossible w/ little hands & something that crinkles or squeaks would have been a great add to keep the babe interested or to make her pick it up on her own. My daughter loves this book. It's interactive with certain parts making crinkly noises. She especially loves chewing on the carrot. I have washed it and put it into the dryer as well, which I don't think you're supposed to do, but overall it's kept really well. The mirror in there is a little wobbly now, but I don't care.
