This is a clever idea, beautifully packaged, and it will make a fun and surprising stocking stuffer for adults. It's not the best way to get a cocktail. For convenience, flavor, and the overall experience, it's not going to produce the same results as fresh ingredients or being served a well-crafted drink. The value is really in the novelty.

I thought this might be a nice way to bring airplane cocktails up a notch. Problem # 1…. Couldn’t get orange bitters to “drop” out of the bottle ??? Had to remove plastic dropper and pour… messy. # 2 - need to add your own cherry garnish. For the cost … cherry should be included. And who puts sugar in a Manhattan?

This is a decent kit, but I noticed a few things. First, it's a fun little set - looks great and is well made. All you need is whiskey and ice to make a drink with this. I liked it a lot but noticed the following; 1) The orange bitters are nearly impossible to get out of that teeny tiny jar. It has a plastic top that supposedly lets you get some drops out but nothing does. I had to pry off that plastic top to use it and even then I added too much I think. 2) The directions are a little wonky. It says to use "your muddler stick/spoon" and I didn't realize this came with one. The paper that comes with it doesn't say it comes with muddler spoon - it says cocktail sticks which it didn't have. Anyhow I didn't notice the spoon until at the end when I unraveled the coaster. The reason I bring this up is because it tells you to add water and I just used a regular spoon instead of the teeny tiny spoon it comes with. So, that and the orange bitter issue - it wasn't perfect but you know what - it was still excellent! So smooth and very very nice! A few tweaks would make this a sure winner.

This makes the PERFECT manhattan. The cocktail is flavorful, not too boozy, and so so easy to make. The instructions are step by step and if you follow them to the T you get a bar-ready cocktail. I've been able to use it to entertain and convince my guests I know what I'm doing when I'm really more of a ready-made cocktail kind of gal.

This box is a really cool idea and was excited to gift it to my dad. Once he opened it we discovered that both the orange bitters bottles were completely empty and there is no way to get in contact with the seller to resolve the issue.
