These skates are shared between my daughters. Neither of them have skated before, but they were very excited to try these pink skates. They are quite easy to adjust between my girls’ different size feet. The button on the side adjusts the length of the skate, while the laces, Velcro, and plastic ratchet adjust all of the other measurements to get a great fit. One downside I noticed was that the laces keep getting stuck in the Velcro, so I definitely asked for help in holding that away from the laces. The actual ride of the skate is very smooth. There wasn’t any jerking or lurching in them. I do wish the stopper wasn’t such a hard plastic. There are already chunks peeling away on them from the girls using them on the concrete. It does seem proportionate to the amount of times they had to use the stoppers, so it isn’t’ overly concerning yet. Overall, I would definitely recommend these skates. ... show more

Without a personal frame of reference, a 5 star wouldn't be wholly fair. I never did master having wheels under my feet, but the grandkids will surely like to give it a whirl, and IF they will/can share some until proper-fit sizes can be gotten for any that actually get into it, no guarantee any of the 3 will be interested, adjustable seemed like a reasonable way to explore the idea. These look and feel quite sturdy, but obviously I can't try them out myself - but, I ain't afraid to put my own grandkids in them. ... show more

These skates are easy to use. They come with an adjustable strap and additional velcro strap for a secure fit. The skates are smooth and not stiff. My son has never been on skates so these are a great starter pair. He was able to stand up straight and walk in them right away. They come with additional pieces to adjust the fit. My 2y old just recently went to the skating rink for the first time and loved it so much that I immediately had to get these when I saw them. With the season's changing and spring here I thought it's the perfect opportunity for her to learn. The skates arrived so fast and she was super excited when I showed her them that she immediately wanted to out them on straight away. After a quick view of the manual we were ready to go and set them to her size. Adjusting them is very easy. These skates are a cute eye catching pink and feel very secure and well designed. She was quick to want to try herself and I let her try in the house and was able to go a little on her own. These were such a great find and I love that they will grow with her a while and we can get years of use.
