In the box you get the candle warmer lamp, two GU10 35 watt halogen bulbs for it and a small instruction sheet. The lamp is well packed in a professionally printed box, surrounded by plastic foam. It’s well packed so breakage in shipping is unlikely. The instruction sheet mentions a 1 year warranty and offers some tips on how to best use the lamp with candles. The one about pouring off some of the wax when the candle loses its scent is helpful. The lamp itself consists of an unheated base, the lamp itself on a swingable arm that may be raised and lowered by loosening the nut in the middle of the arm, a glass lampshade and an in-line control box on the power cord. The heat is generated by the 35 watt halogen bulb. The control box contains a control panel that turns the lamp on and off, provides for 3 levels of brightness for the lamp and has a timer for 2, 4 or 8 hours of use before automatically turning off. This is great for safety reasons, though it does not default to having the timer on. Appearance-wise, this lamp is attractive. The base and arm are matte black and have a clean and elegant look. The shade is glass and segmented glass, providing a nice array of light when lit. One thing I noted immediately upon setting up the lamp is that the recessed circle in the base for the candle does not match up with the position of the lampshade. What this means is that you will get uneven heating of your candle. The side of the candle closest to the swing arm will melt slower than the other side because the lamp is not centered over the candle. Since the circle in the base is recessed, it’s not possible to simply move the candle over to get it centered. Another issue is that this warmer uses halogen bulbs. While the heat is needed to melt the candle, Halogen bulbs are a known fire hazard. This means that even though they are technically safer than an open flame, some living spaces, such as dormitories will have a ban on their use. I also should note that the cord is a little short at only 3.5 feet long. It might be long enough if next to an outlet, but it does seem just a little on the short side. Bottom line: Attractive and effective, this is a nice lamp. The mismatch of the shade and the candle recess is kind of not great due to the candle warming unevenly. Also, the price of $56 (at time of writing) seems more than a little bit high for what you’re getting. Even with the extra bulb, this doesn’t feel like much more than a 40 dollar lamp. But if price is not an issue, you could do worse. It works and the control panel is a nice feature to have.

This one is so sophisticated! Ok, so I have a candle warmer in every single room I sit in for long periods of time. I have gifted one to my loved ones and any graduating person because they are AMAZING! I literally think everyone deserves one. They allow you to create a warm and cozy space with the lighting and adding the ability to make the space smell good is just wonderful because you do not need a fire to light the candle. The bulb that comes with the candle warmer melts the candle and causes the scent to fill the room. You don’t have to worry about the dangers of fire or the smoke and smell from blowing out the flame. I will say that at this point, I have enough candle warmers to say they all work about the same. The difference would be in the design you choose. This one in particular is great because it has a dimmer and a timer. There is a small clicker connected to the plug that allows for you to control how bright the lamp is. The brighter the light, the more fragrant the candle is. (It looks exactly like as photographed and measures about 14 inches tall.) It takes up very little space. Just make sure you have it close to a plug because the cord isn’t very long.

This is a lovely candle warmer lamp with many features. I've never owned a candle warmer before so I can't compare it to other lamps. It's very attractive and will blend in nicely with most decor. I like that it has a dimmer that allows you to decrease the brightness. Even at its brightest, however, it's not overwhelmingly bright, despite it using a halogen light bulb. At its dimmest, it's a perfect nightlight. The small light bulb is unlikely to ever cause the problems often associated with halogen lighting. However, no electrical product that melts things should be left unattended. That's just common sense. The timer is an excellent feature for that reason alone. I would advise always setting the timer it in case you forget and walk away from it or fall asleep. The adjustable height of the lamp is a wonderful feature. The higher the lamp, the slower the candle will warm and melt, so the candle itself will last a bit longer. I assume that the fragrance of the candle, however, is pretty much the same regardless of which height you leave the lamp -- but I haven't actually tested that. The lamp gives off a moderate amount of heat for its size. The indentation where the candle sits is offset and not directly below the bulb. I'm not sure if that is by design or a design flaw. In any event, it's not really a problem, as you can rotate the candle from time to time to allow for more equal melting. Various sizes of candles will work with this lamp. The length of the cord from the lamp to the plug is around 3 feet. I'm sure the manufacturer didn't wish to make it longer for safety reasons. It's an adequate length if placed on a table with an electrical wall outlet nearby. I suppose you could use an extension cord otherwise. The amount of electricity produced by this small lamp would not be a safety issue. Overall, I really like this candle warmer lamp. It offers just about everything you could want from such a product.
