Description

The Customizable Foam Insert allows users to shape a personalized solution for the interior of their Makita Interlocking Cases. The thick 2" layer of foam is designed to fit snugly within the Interlocking Cases and can be customized without the use of knives or scissors - pre-scored strips of foam can be easily pulled from around perimeter of tools and accessories to create custom assortments. A 1/2" foam base layer is also included to line the bottom of the case.

This foam is amazing. I used a dull butterknife to help cut the desired sections out for the main shape. It separated easily, but is still durable for the tools. If you're using it for the Medium or larger boxes, you will need more than 1. IE: Makita 197211-7 Medium box requires 2x foam inserts per case. You get the 1/2" base pad, and the main 'sectioned' foam insert. Definitely PLAN AND MEASURE YOUR CUTS before you start separating the sections. I wish these were only $5-10 each, but they are decent buy at around $20/ea. ... show more

this was a great fit for a dewalt box I got from my bank debit card points.. I store my trail cams and all their accessories very nicely with these custom fitting foam.

    • Great foam insert that actually fits well
unlike some of the kaizen inserts for packout or other organizational systems these makita made inserts for their storage boxes actually fit and are easy no cutting required to fit your tools, i use this as my track saw just came with a plastic insert and i wanted to better protect the base and this product does just that. ... show more

Got this for a Large size makita storage box. Fits perfect and holds my trim router and accessories in place with no problem. The foam is very cheap and it is easy to accidentally rip off more squares than you mean to when customizing it, but ultimately it more than serves its purpose and I would buy it again if I needed it. ... show more

First, I know... I knowingly paid for it, but this is literally very similar to packaging foam that might surround something in a cardboard box. That being said it does the job, but doesn't look incredibly nice and I should have done more research. I have some random tools that have a bunch of parts that I wanted to keep together so I got some of these makita boxes to organize. The actual boxes are great, but the foam is a let down... ... show more
