Great book with photos as well as descriptions and drawings of different style curtains that may be obtained by reading the book. Walks you step by step from purchasing fabric, trimmings, mounting and riggings, etc,and making the actual curtains themselves. Definitely worth the money.

    • Save thousands of dollars making your own shades
This book was my primary reference while I made shades for 13 windows, saving thousands of dollars over having them made by a workroom. Not only did the book provide inspiration by use of many pictures, I found the instructions to be more than adequate.

I purchased this book, along with 2 other Window Treatment books, looking for instructions on how to make a Relaxed Roman Shade for an extra-wide window. In other words, I want my shade to have 2 swoops. In this book, not a single word on what to do for a wide window. In fact, none of the 3 books I ordered, have instructions on making a Relaxed Roman Shade for extra-wide windows. I know it can be done. I can find pictures online of Relaxed Roman Shades with 2 swoops...and even 3 swoops. Someone who knows how to do this, should publish the instructions because it is not out there anywhere! ... show more
