Quality wood, true 2x2 dimensions. (Not like big box hardware stores where 2 inches is 1.75) The sanding on the outside is more rough in some spots than others. This is not a problem for wood turning as it will all get shaved off. If you wanted to use these for a function other than wood turning, you will need to plane or sand the surfaces. Again, this is not a problem for wood turning which is the advertised purpose. Have ordered the Mahogany and the Walnut so far for projects and are as described. ... show more
