I was a kickstarter backer for this game, Since the game launched, I recieved a destroyed package that was missing items, I replacement that was still missing items, and have been waiting on the third package for over a month. Purchased the missing deck here and it was delivered within a week, all while Magpie still hasn’t responded to my requests for info on my package or a refund for the horrible delivery to the people who funded the game. It’s kinda crazy that this third party company was able to fulfill the order not only faster but with no damage as well, compared to a company that made $9.5 million to make the game from all of us at home ... show more

I'm a hard ore avatar fan and the lore made this book worth it a thousand times over but the rule set is frankly disappointing. Focuses more on telling a cool story than playing a game full of excitement and unpredictability. The gm doesn't even role dice, which for me is a deal breaker. So I'm just gonna do what countless gms have done before me and copy paste another engine over this one. Great lore tho and I'm excited for the republic city expansion ... show more

The content is grate so far no complaints at all…but the actual hard cover binding is soft and flexible in a strange way unlike any other book I own, it’s a little worrying, especially for the price point, I expect a hard cover to be well hard

It’s definitely a neat concept, but the book isn’t written out in a user friendly way. They don’t explain how to actually run the game very well and you have to jump back in forth between chapters to figure out the mechanics for the same thing instead of having it all together. Also if you use rules as written and don’t make your own adjustments it takes a lot of agency away from the game master and even some away from the players. Honestly wouldn’t recommend this as a decent TTRPG, since it requires so much work to be more fun. ... show more

This is only half a rules set, in that you cannot use this book/system to play an "evil" or "bad guys" campaign/adventure. They actively squash this in the text and mechanics. If you want to play the goodies all the time, sure, it is great. But according to the writers, your imagination MUST stop there and go no further. Even playing a morally grey party is pointless. You cannot approach this system from anything but the straight-and-narrow or else be punished by the mechanics. How dare you have a complex character! ... show more
