  • If you like drone this is the system for you!
I had a Stillen catback on my Titan that I just sold, loved it, but unfortunately they did not make one for my new truck 2016 Frontier. Perhaps I had unrealistic expectations but the Magnaflow was one of the few available options which had decent ratings. The Magnaflow is downright annoying as it just drones on and on. There's a minor drone around 1200 rpm and then the whole truck goes alive with reverberation at (and anywhere near) 2500 rpm. I tow a RZR every now and then and if the truck is on the slightest incline guess where it stays....YEP! 2500 rpm's. NAG NAG NAG for 100+ miles until I get to Sedona. I'm running a 1000 watt sound system and I still can't drown it out. One of the worst purchases I've made this year, I can't understand why anyone would want their Nissan truck to sound like some dusty ass Civic with a grapefruit launcher...can't wait to be rid of this junk exhaust. ... show more

  • Looks real nice and clean
I installed this in my 2013 Nissan Frontier about a month ago. It wasn't hard. I needed to remove all hangers, install them on the exhaust and then reattach. Looks real nice and clean. Excellent fit. It does have a rather loud resonance around 25-27k rpm. One needs to either turn up or down the radio. I have 9k miles on the Frontier. Mileage, when stock, was around 17mpg. I installed a K&N air box and it went to a consistent 20mpg. I would have thought the mileage would have improved a bit with this but went back to 17mpg. I was somewhat surprised. The truck does get up and go however. Maybe I have my foot in it more than I use to. I am happy with it. Update 5/7/2015. They must have changed back to the summer gas formula as the MPG just went back over the 20 mpg for the last 3 tanks. Still love it. ... show more

  • Easy hook up to 2013 Nissan frontier pro-4x
Easy hook up to 2013 Nissan frontier pro-4x.Only took about 2 hours to install.Sounds ok,not too loud and added some more power. This was the first of many planned mods. Can't wait to get my intake and JBA headers to get the benifits of all the parts working together. It seems to have added about 1 and a half miles per gallon by its self.At idle and normal driving it is not that much noticeable but driving with your foot into it,it gets louder.I would have liked more noise myself but like what I got.It will fit king cab with 6 foot bed and exhaust will exit about half way between right rear tire and bumper like the stock tailpipe. You will need a deepsocket 12mm and 14mm with a 3 inch ext.and some penetrating lube.My truck only has about 15000 miles on it so had no problem with using oem gaskets at the catalytic converters.Enjoy ! ... show more

  • Great quality but loud
The quality is what to be expected from Magnaflow. The only issue is there is a loud drone at around 2200-2500 rpm under moderate load. Using a sound meter on my phone it got up to almost 100DB. My opinion is it was not tested on the specific vehicle. It actually is quieter at full throttle.

  • Sounds great with decently easy intallation
I love the look and sound of this exhaust. It has the best low range sound notes. At higher revs it does not sound as loud in the cab, but my friend said it sounds great outside. Definitely have someone help with the install if you do not have a very tall lift or high jack and stands. I would recommend this to anyone that is looking for an exhaust that sounds great all around inside the cab and out. ... show more

  • Made more difference than I thought it would.
Exhaust really smoothed out the low end on my Frontier, and eliminated that stupid kink in the 2-1 transition in my lower exhaust. It used to wake up around 4,000 rpm, and feel plugged up below that. That was with a NISMO intake that I have been running since new. The exhaust makes driving my 6 speed manual Pro-4X more fun. The sound is nice too. It's not loud and in your face at all. Just a nice little rumble that reminds you it's there. The ~2500 rpm drone you read about is there, but it's not nearly as bad as I thought it would be from reading reviews out there. I hate annoying noises in my vehicle, and it never bothers me. The performance improvement in the low rpm range is worth it alone to me. ... show more

  • ... fitment issues with this system and it has a terrible drone at highway speed
I had fitment issues with this system and it has a terrible drone at highway speed. I've spent more time trying to quiet the drone on this system than any other I have ever used on a vehicle. I was very surprised given Magnaflow's reputation.

  • Great product
I installed this system myself and I found the process to be pretty straight forward. The sound is better than I hoped for. Not too loud with a nice deep tone. The workmanship of the product looks outstanding and it looks like a small increase in my mileage. I highly recommend.
