This is the first time I've ever had polycarbonate lenses, and I had no idea how hard they'd be to clean. There was constantly an oily film on the lenses, and everything I did to try and clean them resulted only in smearing the oil around. I tried various cleaning cloths, eye glass cleaner spray, pre-moistened wipes, and a magnasonic cleaner. I even tried the ridiculous Google suggestion that all I needed was a dab of dishwashing liquid, a rinse, and a clean towel. I was inches away from accidentally destroying my glasses so I'd have to get a new pair. I saw these cloths mentioned on a website, and despite my doubts, decided to give them a try. They cleaned the film off my lenses on the first try. I'll never use anything else again. And with 6 in a pack, I can have one at my desk, one in my bedroom, one in my purse, one in the car ... ... show more

So we're on lockdown and VR has been a great way to relax and have a bit of fun during my downtime. So in order to take care of my headset, I decided to get some new microfiber cloths to keep my lenses clean. Turns out my choice has permanently damaged my headset and all during a time when replacement or repair is pretty much impossible. Now I'm stuck with a cloudy, damaged headset that I won't be able to get fixed (Oculus won't cover user damage), and can't afford (or find) a new one to replace it with. So if you don't value your expensive prescription lenses, or your VR headset, then go ahead and use these, they'll scratch the smudges right out for you! ... show more

Excellent product!! I had them (the 6-pack) for only 2 weeks, and so far they work great. I use it every day. It removes smudges, skin oil, and everything else with ease, without using any water or lens cleaning solutions. Very happy with it. I highly recommend the 6-pack since you can keep one in the car, one in your briefcase or purse, one in the office, etc. HOWEVER, and this is the reason for 4 stars instead of 5, to keep them in different places, like your car or briefcase/purse, you need a small plastic container, which I think the product should come with, even if it adds a couple of dollars to the price. Otherwise, the cloth will be exposed to dust and grime, reducing its effectiveness. The thin plastic sleeve it comes in is OK for shipping, and it would probably last a few weeks in your car or office but I believe you really need a thin, plastic, hinged box to protect this terrific product. Washing them (with plain water) looks very easy but I haven't reached that point yet. Even if each cloth lasts only a year or two, having clean, smudge-free lenses for that duration is worth the price charged for the 6-pack. Buy it; you won't regret it. They work great. **** UPDATE: I've had them for about 2 months now. As a test, I used mostly one of the cloths (I had purchased a 6-pack). After a while, it stopped working (it wasn't cleaning my lenses well). So, following the instructions, I hand-washed it with warm water (no soap) and air dried it. It did NOT work; it was just smearing my lenses just like the other cloths. I tried washing it several times, same result. So I decided to take a risk and I washed it with a mild, liquid soap. Result? .... Success! It now works like it worked the first time I had used it. I think oil accumulates over time in the cloth and there is no way to remove that oil without using soap. Anyway, try it at your own risk but I found that using liquid soap and rinsing well works; otherwise, it just smears your lenses. ... show more

    • The ONLY good microfiber cloth I have ever used

I'm not one to write reviews so quickly after receiving things, but I have to comment on these cloths! I usually dislike microfiber cloths - I know they are supposedly great for cleaning your glasses and screens, but every single microfiber cloth I've ever used has left unbearable streak marks on every surface - whether used by itself or with a cleaning product. When I opened these cloths, I immediately used one to clean my glasses that I hadn't been able to clean properly all day, and were streaky as a result of cleaning on my tshirt....I used one of these cloths, and nothing else, and my glasses came out streak free and beautiful! Love these. I was hesitant to spend so much on cloths I was pretty sure I wouldn't like, but these blew me away! Most definitely will buy again. Fortunate that the pack comes with so many - means I can keep one on my person at all times. Most definitely recommend! ... show more

My adult son bought an expensive DLSR camera and I asked if he needed anything to go with it. He had everything major but did need some lens cleaning cloths. I told him to pick some out and I would buy them for him (for no reason other than I am his mom). He looked for quite a while and these are the ones he chose. He especially liked the gray one because it helps with his photography in getting the right white balance as well as cleans his lenses. The black ones are great too for anything that needs a soft microfiber cloth. He gave me two black ones and I use them on my phone, TV, glasses, and many other things. They work great. No lint and no streaking. My son says the gray cloth does just what he wants it to do and is very happy with the black ones as well for his lenses as well as other things he owns. I didn't realize there were differences in these types of microfiber cloths but apparently there are. These are very good and will leave behind nothing but a clean surface. They're well priced for six individually encased cloths too. They come in little plastic envelopes so you can carry one in your purse, backpack, camera case, or even pocket. ... show more
