I have been low carb for quite some time. I sort of have to be. When I saw this advertised during a football game I googled it and knew it was something I had to try. Given that I hardly ever eat sweets I notice the slightest the slightest pinch of sweetener. So those of you who actually eat fruit loop type products won't find this that sweet. I find it very sweet. If you're a true low carb person you will find this pretty sweet. Actually a bit too much for me but not to the point I found it unpleasant. I have to say overall I found this pretty tasty and was pleasantly surprised. I had a huge bowl in grass fed half and half and enjoyed it quite a bit. I don't get to have things like this that often as the carbs are typically too high, and protein too low, but this seems balanced enough that I can have it for breakfast on most morning. I will add a scoop of whey powder to it the next time, to get a nice punch of protein and thicker liquid consistency, but other than that I'll leave it alone. If you like fruit loops, stick with it, but If you want but can't have cereals like fruit loops you'll want to try this. It's relatively expensive, but most high protein low carb products are. Wheat is cheap, whey is not. Staying healthy costs a bit more on the plate, but costs a whole lot less at the doctors office. I found this priced fairly for the ingredients and quality. It's not a monster box that feeds a family of 5 for a week. If that's what you need there's plenty of products that fit the bill at the grocery store, so those "stay away, it's a rip off" reviews are perplexing. You're not going to get five pounds of whey protein for $3.99. I would have thought that was something easy to figure out before making the purchase. To sum it up, it's very tasty, satisfying and good for blood sugar levels. If you're like me and eat about 200 grams of protein a day and keep the carbs under 100 grams, or are prediabetic, this is a good breakfast option. If you' re looking for a bargain, not so much.

Although I appreciate the idea of this product, the size of each package (value for money), texture , and taste make this hard to recommend. All of them have a similar very sticky texture which easily get stuck in the teeth. The package says 5 servings per box, but I get more like 3-4 which is not worth it for $10/box. A few of the products have decent taste (fruity, maple, cinnamon), but some of them have some of the worst artificial-tasting flavors I've had in a very long time (frosted). The only people I can recommend this for is those who HAVE to have a cereal but cannot have even plain cereal from other brands. Increase the box size, fix some of these awful flavors + texture and it would be a good product. Do note the usage of many processed items in these ingredients (oils, "natural flavors") which means this is a highly processed food, even if the source of those processed items is natural. For those concerned about the organic/health side I would recommend looking elsewhere.

What I dislike about this product is its price. For me, on a low & fixed income, can't have them very often...try to find them on sale when I can, but even then, so much more expensive than regular cereals, so I don't get to treat myself very often with these super tasty cereals. All the flavors I have tried that were in the variety pack I first ordered last year are super tasty! This time just ordered the chocolate pack of 4. Hope U have more regular & higher income to enjoy them whenever U wish because they are delicious.

Magic Spoon's marketing is great, makes me feel nostalgic, and promises a lot. But it doesn't deliver, not even close. The taste ranges from ok to awful, depending on the flavor. On the ok side: Maple smells amazing, but smells way better than it tastes; same with Cinnamon and Fruity. On the awful side: Peanut Butter smells like something you would clean paint brushes with, and tastes nothing at all like peanut butter; Cocoa smells a little better, but tastes like cardboard; and Frosted smells nice, but tastes like a horrible mix of chemicals. I threw out the rest of the Peanut Butter, Cocoa, and Frosted boxes after one bowl each. Let's be fair. Their cereal is not that healthy. It's better than eating a box of Captain Crunch, sure, but it's not like we're buying health food here. And the price is ridiculous for little 7 ounce boxes! Also, it's pretty sticky on the teeth and doesn't taste all that great even in the best case. I've been wanting to try these products for years, always enamored with the clever marketing and artwork, but never got around to it until now. I was excited to finally try them and wow, what a disappointment. The one nice thing about this variety pack, though, is the really cool Magic Spoon branded cereal spoon that came with it. It's really pretty and cool to look at. Way better than the cereal.
