I purchased this set for my classroom. I teach children with a variety of disabilities. This set is excellent for my students with limited fine motor skills. The pieces are easy to hold and build with. I would totally buy this as a gift for younger kids like it recommends or for older kids with limited abilities to grasp.

I have been on the hunt for creative gifts for my toddler. She isn’t much for toys, so I have really been trying to find things we can do together or that are very interactive. This set is so great! The building “blocks” are very lightweight and are a great size for tiny toddler hands. The magnets are a bit heavier, but very strong. Something important to me was that the magnets weren’t small so she couldn’t swallow them. These are the perfect size - she couldn’t even fit them in her mouth if she wanted to LOL.it comes with a bag for storage,which in nice.

Gave this to my toddler this Christmas and he loved it. If your kid loves magna tiles this one is a nice variation to have. I was bit worried about the small balls, but they're just the right size not to pose choking hazard. The magnets are strong and I think it's quite made well for it's price.

It might be because they are so big, but the magnets are not strong enough to keep it all together if your trying to build something big. It collapses. :(
