Both fit fine, but the top on the XL was a bit too baggy for me. The large fit much much better. I wore this for a work event, which was very formal. The material is heavy and feels of quality and the skirt is flowy and flattering. However, there was no ruching at the top as pictured, it fit flat and tight and showed every detail of my strapless bra underneath. I am returning.

I LOVE this dress. I got it as a bridesmaid dress because I wanted one I would wear again. The fabric is nice quality and has stretch to is. I gave it 4 instead of 5 stars because as other reviewers mentioned, there is no zipper, which causes the top to be a little less secure but I still think it looks really nice. I sized down from the size chart. I got a Medium and it fits great, no alterations needed - I am 5'7, 34C, 160lbs and typically wear a medium in dresses and a 6/8 in bottoms.

The material was stretchy and comfy! I’m 4’11 and 150 lbs and ordered a large but I probably could have been okay with a medium. I did have to get it shortened but once that was completed it was great! One thing to note is I did have to use fabric/body tape to tape the sleeveless side to keep from falling, but I think that’s because it might have been a tad too large. My FAVORITE thing about this dress is I was able to machine wash and dry it! 2nd favorite: the material was stretchy and flattering so I didn’t have to diet like crazy before wearing it lol!

ordered this dress & several others for a wedding. the dress was just fine - flattering, liked the style, & fit as expected, but i couldn't get over the fact it was made out of this thick, stretchy fabric that felt like athletic material? like i have a sports bra that feels exactly like this dress. didn't fit the elegant vibe i was going for so chose to return it. cute otherwise though!

I wear between a L/XL and purchased a size XL. I’m glad I did- it provided some extra room, as there is minimal stretch. The material is is a smooth material, but does not feel overly expensive. It could be dressed up with heels, or dressed down with a low sandal. I am 5’ 4 1/2” and this dress touches the floor for me. Overall I am happy with it!
