My wife has a TON of jewelry. Everywhere I turn there are earrings, rings, necklaces, etc. scattered throughout every room of the house. To make matters worse, she has about 5 jewelry boxes of various sizes, shapes, and portability. Despite all this, I still find random jewelry on the nightstand, on the bathroom counter, coffee tables, dressers, etc. This leads to questions of, "Have you seen this pair of earrings?" And annoyance on both our parts, when I reply with, "No did you check any of the 10 places you randomly could have left it?" Hence, my purchase of this jewelry standing cabinet. In addition for me looking for a be-all and end-all jewelry storage solution for my wife, my wife has been on the look-out for a full length mirror to add to the bedroom/closet area. When I was presented with the idea of this product, it seemed like a no-brainer! Allow me to tell you what I like and dislike about this product. For starters, the presentation out of the box was top notch. In addition to coming in a box from Amazon, this cabinet also came in a teal/blue box with a handle on it. This made moving it to the desired position before assembly, essentially effortless. Open the box and you two thick pieces of custom cut Styrofoam keeping all the pieces and mirror in place. The mirror is also carefully wrapped up in shrink-wrap to prevent shifting and breaking. Opening the cabinet part up is where you find the assembly instructions. These are placed in a wax-sealed envelope to convey the message of luxury and quality. Assembly of this product is pretty straight forward. You have two legs, two support beams, the cabinet, and then a handful of dowels, and some bolts. You need no additional tools, glue, or materials, and it can be assembled with just the provided hex key. It can be assembled relatively easy with one person but having an extra set of hands to hold the legs steady while tightening or mounting the cabinet definitely speeds up the process. The finished product when complete is a practical, elegant, and beautiful solution. It also has a set of keys, with locking function, but not sure I have a need for that, except maybe to keep kids out? I had a few minor quibbles with this purchase. For starters, there was some white powder on the felt when I opened the cabinet. I assume it was a busted silica pack, and it wiped up fairly easily. Secondly, there is a mesh storage bag that attaches with Velcro to the inside of the cabinet. The bag was very rolled up, so I'm not sure how long it will take to unfold, nor am I sure my wife would even use it for on-the-go travel needs. My wife is crafty, so I told her she could re-purpose the area and make a place for stud earrings (or something else) if she wanted to. Lastly, the LED lighting is battery powered (6 AA batteries). I'm not sure if I would have preferred no lighting, cord (not a great option), or what. However, I use rechargeable batteries, so I will see how long it takes before I have to change the batteries in it. The small complaints aside, I was very pleased with the purchase of this cabinet. I went with Espresso colored one, opposed to the white one and it really looks premium once it's all assembled. My wife has started loading it up, consolidating her jewelry collection, and using this as opposed to the random tables scattered throughout the house. Hopefully, this trend continues. :) If you are looking for a gift for that special woman in your life, I highly recommend this piece of furniture. I don't know how we survived without it. I paid full price and worth every penny (not often do we say that anymore)!!! ASSEMBLY: item was packaged extremely well, nice weight and assembly was a cinch; assembled “solo” start-to-finish in 45 minutes (carried package in house, opened box, read instructions and fully assembled). AESTHETICS: selected the “rustic wood” look, it’s actually engineered wood but does not look cheap at all, goes nicely with existing furniture; mirror is nice and no “fun house” distortion noted. INTERIOR/ FUNCTIONALITY: this item inside and out, was carefully designed and crafted, interior lights are a really nice touch, easily installed 6 batteries (automatically turns on/off -when- opening/closing door); acrylic bins had a nice exterior design, well constructed and not cheap or flimsy; hooks were already installed and overall placement was satisfactory (I have more necklaces verses earrings, easy fix-so I ordered more tiny hooks to hang more necklaces); locks work smoothly, includes two keys and exterior “key insert/key hole” blends in nicely (jewelry absolutely hidden in plain sight); overall weight is substantial and this entire piece is fantastic! I searched for hours, read reviews and feel like it all paid off (hands down knocked this one out of the ballpark) outstanding purchase, absolutely zero regrets. BUY THIS!!!

Loved the presentation, well packaged, easy directions, and the sealed envelope was so high end I thought it was coming from a high end designer! It has more than enough room for my jewelry. Take one star off since the lights are not rechargeable. Highly recommend.

I didn’t think I would love this product as much as I do! It’s like they thought of almost everything. You’ll notice in the picture, though I switched out the travel pouch and the necklace hooks. I unscrewed each and then just switched them. I did that because the necklaces hang so low I couldn’t close it. The only problem with that is now the necklaces cover the travel pouch, which is really no big deal at all. I would just suggest any improvements should include this switch and to lower where the pouch is located.
