  • Decent quality, okay price, still worth it.
Style: Controller only
Bought in order to use with Luna games, free with prime membership. Got the first one on a deal for $40 and was satisfied with it so got the second at normal price of $70 so my wife and I can play together. Normal price is a little high, but what isn't these days. Quality is decent, not as good as an original Xbox controller but better than most 3rd party controllers. Plastic feels kind of cheap and slippery but the thumb sticks are good, though the springs are weaker than an Xbox controller so it moves a little easier than I like. The buttons are very responsive. Nice that it can double as a Bluetooth controller so I can use it on PC or with android. Overall, satisfied. Would buy again if it breaks. ... show more

  • Luna is the Gem Console.
Style: with 1 month free Luna+ subscription
The Luna controller looks similar to the Xbox and Switch Pro Controller. And let's give credit to where credit is due, Sega is the one who pioneered this controller scheme. But the Luna is ridiculously comfortable and smooth. It has a better d pad than the Switch Pro, and closely on Par with Xbox's. A good d pad is strangely not the easiest to find. Everything just feels nice on this unit. Buttons respond snappy and the joysticks just have the ideal feel. If you use this with Luna and the WiFi setup mode, there is definitely close to no LAG and that is definitely a big reason to have it. I have been Streaming games for a while now with Xbox Game Pass, PlayStation Plus, Vimm's Layer, and some of the others. Luna definitely takes the cake for reliability. I've played some hours without a hint of refresh. One of the only odd things, is that it does take AA batteries and not rechargeable. There is pros and cons to this but still seems backwards this day and age. Microsoft does it too, so I can only fault Luna so much for it. I would just like to see more, unique games across Luna. To make it stand out from Xbox Game Pass and PlayStation Plus, giving it more reason to why you need it. The tie in with the GOG library may end up being the killer setup. So, far it's just a good handful of games, I few that I own and it does increase every month. If they go hardcore on that, it's going to be something special. Till then, the Luna Controller and the streaming is a top tier option for no download gaming on the go. ... show more

  • Solid, Feels Good, Works Well. Should ID itself on network.
Style: Controller only
The controller is solid, feels good in the hands, and functions quite well with no noticeable lag. It functions to control my Fire Cube in normal mode, and switches to Wifi when I start the Luna app, taking several seconds to do so. Once in Wifi, it works well in games, yet still controls the Fire Cube by voice (Alexa). All-in-all, I'm pretty pleased with the device. One minor flaw is that the markings on the buttons are a little difficult to see for those of us with "old eyes" in dim light (it's always dim when I'm gaming!) I also wish it was rechargeable. I haven't used it enough to wear out the batteries yet though, so that may not be much of an issue. However, based on other controllers, I initially assumed the USB port was for recharging. It's not. 04/01/2023: After writing a review yesterday, berating this device for failing at 11 months, an Amazon tech called me this morning asking for additional troubleshooting. We spent about a half hour going through stuff to no avail. It simply would not connect to my network anymore. Afterwards, I dug into my network settings and discovered I'd blocked a device which showed on my network as "UNKNOWN". So I un-blocked that and tried again, and this time it connected to my network. All my other Amazon devices (and I've got many) identify themselves as "Amazon-" followed by part of the MAC address. So when this one didn't, and my router told me that "UNKNOWN" was connecting, I must have told it to block. So while the blocking was on me, I maintain that if it had identified itself as an Amazon device, I'd have figured out which one and not blocked it. While the tech did not identify the exact issue (how could she - it's MY network!), her efforts were kind, patient, and in the end led me to the actual solution. So big kudos to her! And to Amazon for taking the time to contact me when I'd pretty much given up on this device ... show more
