Description

Luigi’s invited to the towering Last Resort hotel, but when Mario and friends go missing, our green-clad hero will have to conquer his fears to save them. Slam, blow away, and vacuum up ghosts with the all-new Poltergust G-00, and join forces with Gooigi to overcome the puzzling contraptions and mischievous boss on each themed floor. And that’s just the Last Resort. Enter the ScareScraper for 8-player local wireless or online co-op gameplay. See if you can defeat all the ghosts, rescue all the toads, or clear other objectives before time runs out in the ScareScraper. And for more mini-game madness, compete on teams at the Scream Park. Whether you play with friends or wander the hotel alone, you’ll be sucked in by the atmospheric music and ghoulish decor of every cobwebby corner you explore. Why not take in the cinematic sights and sounds with a friend? In the main adventure, you and a friend can play together as Luigi and Gooigi in two-player co-op. Gooigi can walk on spikes, slip through tight spaces, and help Luigi overcome obstacles he can’t tackle alone. Never hurts to have a friend in this hotel; it may not be very spooky, but Luigi begs to differ. Nintendo Switch Online membership (sold separately) and Nintendo Account required for online play. • Father/Daughter Time
Platform: Nintendo Switch Edition: Standard
My Daughter and I love to play video games together and this one is easily one of the best out there. She is 9 years old and can play Co-op with me and we have a blast with it. The Story mode is usually pretty fun, a few times we got frustrated but overall it was very fun to play. Other mini games are there to play as well and the replay value is also great. Highly Recommend for those that love spending time with their sons or daughters playing games. ... show more

  • Pretty Good and the Characters are Great Fun
Platform: Nintendo Switch Edition: Standard
This is my first Luigi game so I had no idea what to do. As a result, I nearly sent it back because all I seemed to do was go in circles in the same room without the ability to do anything. In part this is because in other Nintendo games Mario and his cohorts are able to pick up things and I assumed Luigi would be the same. The other problem I faced was the developers' use of the X button to do things. In every other Nintendo game I've played the A button is used so, quite frankly, I thought something was wrong with the functionality of the game itself. But once I tracked down a walkthrough I found on the Internet, I learned that the X button was right and it got me moving into the game. I'm a pretty experienced gamer and I have to say I find the controls somewhat difficult. Trying to keep the vacuum cleaner pointing in the right direction doesn't seem to be easy for me. I have the same problem with the flashlight. That being said, I find that, due to the perspective perhaps, it's difficult to tell what direction the characters in this game and some other Switch games are facing. So if you try to point them (or their tools) at a 45 degree angle, it's very difficult to tell whether or not they are, in fact, pointed that way until the ghost clobbers you or you fire off the flashlight and see it's not pointing where you think it is. Once you get the hang of the controls however, the game play goes smoothly and there's a lot to explore. The graphics are amazing and Luigi's reactions and facial expressions add a lot of fun and laughs to the game. All-in-all I would recommend the game and would have given it 4.5 stars if possible. I knocked off the one star for the difficulties I ran into with the controls. ... show more

Pretty upset that Amazon didn’t follow my directions. It was supposed to be delivered on my selected prime day since it was a birthday surprise that of course got delivered 2 days earlier while I was out of town so ruined the surprise. Game works as should though. Nothing wrong with it.
