We liked the style and sturdiness of this headboard. The color matched our room perfectly and the price was right. We did end up returning the headboard though because it doesn’t attach to the frame of the Lucid adjustable bed. We could have attached it to our wall but we really didn’t want to do that. It should come with an extension for the Lucid bed frame so that it can be attached to it. We were disappointed that we couldn’t use the headboard. ... show more

A headboard under $100, I didn’t expect too much but was pleasantly surprised at how nice it looked. I read reviews about how difficult it was to set up and instructions hard to follow. Therefore, for those who have no building experience or are handy challenged like I am don’t be scared off. I recommend 2 things: first - measure your the frame onto which the headboard is to be secured. My full size frame measured 54”, at the head in length and this headboard stated it was 55” and I did not need to use the metal adjustment piece. Secondly - I viewed the instructions on YouTube ( how to install a lucid headboard ). All the tools you need are in a velcro pocket behind the headboard. It is sturdy but I can see over time if you rest against it to read or watch TV, it may weaken over time if it doesn’t rest flush against the wall. To prevent this, if you have a space between the wall and headboard and it leans back slightly when you lean on it, hot glue a piece of styrofoam to the back of the headboard, at each end and one in the center thick enough to fill that gap. Assembly took 35 min. Note: YouTube video has different numbered pieces than what you receive but it is clearly visible which ones to use when you look at the instructions page. ... show more

We opted to mount to our frame rather than the wall. It took time but we got it. Must have put one side on and then off at least 6 times. We used books to prop it up to the height we liked underneath the legs and adjusted until we found the holes. We used the 2 longest screws on the outside facing the mattress and the 2 short screws on the inside pointing to the wall since the baseboards insured the hardware wouldn't scratch the walls because facing the other way would insure a hand injury when tucking in the fitted sheet. ***UPDATE TO BELOW** Decided to return. Was unstable due to poor sizing and lack of hardware. Also forgot to mention that there were no instructions included...looked thoroughly through packaging. Also decided not to "wait and see" if I end up with a $3000 bed bug extermination problem later. I like the look of the item. Color is good, verticle tufts are nice. End of positives. Negatives: The queen headboard is not wide enough, as other reviews note. Also there is not enough hardware for where you connect below to frame. They should include a minimum of 4 screws for each side, total of 8 screws. They only give you 4. Cheap. Results in somewhat wobbly headboard. Also the screws are too long and stick out really bad potentially damaging the wall behind. Even their you tube video for installation instructions show this. So. Stupid. We bought this for a spare room situation so it wont be used regularly. Also, didnt see reviews about bed bugs til it was too late so I'm hoping for the best. Will be keeping an eye out but so far no signs. Also my headboard did not smell at all as other reviewers noted. I absolutely would not recommend this item. We are merely going to put up with it cuz it looks ok. I bought a cheap headboard from another online retailer a few years back and it is great so I will shop there when Im ready to change this one out. ... show more

I needed a guest room headboard. This came well packed . Plenty of room for adjustment for height. I have a half size box spring so it is about 6 inches lower in pic. Legs are covered in cloth so it’s easy to handle. Can be mounted to bed which I never do, or to wall, but I just put heavy duty Velcro on each side at top ( baseboards prevent lower placement ).
