Description

The LS2 Valiant II 180-degree flip, modular motorcycle helmet. Building upon the success of the original Valiant, LS2 has again pushed the envelope of technological development. A newly designed chin bar mechanism is smaller and slimmer than the original, making for a more aerodynamic shell. The lightweight, aerodynamic shell is made from LS2's proprietary Kinetic Polymer Alloy (KPA). This proprietary material uses nanotechnology to blend microscopic particles of aramid fibers into a high-end polymer. This material is absolute state-of-the-art in energy management materials, offering a bit of built-in flexibility to disperse energy, the penetration resistance of high- end fiber products, and a lightweight shell. 2 shell sizes to allow for a perfect fit and the smallest shell possible. A full metal latch assures the chin bar will stay locked when closed, and an LS2 exclusive design keeps the chin bar securely in place at the back of the helmet when it is in the open position. The UV and scratch resistant shield uses optically correct Class A polycarbonate and is PinLock ready for the maximum in fog protection. LS2 designed a new quick change shield mechanism for the Valiant II, making swapping shields a breeze. The Valiant II uses our Twin Shield System drop down sun shield. Its cable-operated switch is smooth, and easy to use even with a gloved hand. The removable, washable comfort padding uses breathable technical fabric, which is "Thermo-Formed." Our cheek pads use ultra-high- quality foam that is cut to shape using LS2’s 3D laser technology for all day comfort and no hot spots. Fully adjustable, flow through ventilation keeps you cool and more in control when the weather gets rough. Built in our own factory for the best value on the market. More helmet for less cash. LS2. Long oval fit. DOT approved. Meets the FMVSS 218 Standard, product also meets requirements imposed by the California Air Resources Board (CARB)

  • Super comfortable and quiet
Size: Large Color: Matte Black
Was looking at a competitor for a couple hundred dollars more and came upon this helmet. Seems very well made. Interior is super quiet everything moves freely as it should, air vents do a good job as well. Main reason for purchasing is the ability to move the modular component all the way to the rear if desired. it moves and looks great in all positions. ... show more

  • AWESOME HELMET!!!!
Size: Large Color: Matte Black
I saw this on a trip at a dealership. I had been looking at Scorpion's version, but it is not available in the states. I saw the Valiant and really liked its features. Some pros after 2000 miles of wearing it ( about 1.5 month of ride time, since its cold weather 15-25 F and snow weather ). 1 The chin piece going all the way to the back and being streamlines is awesome! True 3\4 open face feeling. 2 Visor is good size 3 Quick Lock chin strap 4 Came with Tinted visor also! 5 Nice back pack and helmet bag along with something thats a neck brace... not sure on the neck brace. But the other stuff was a nice addition. Its not 30 day back pack, but its a nice back pack for your helmet if you are taking it with you when walking. 6 Seems to have nice bluetooth speaker pockets, haven't installed my BT yet, but seems roomy. Cons 1 Visor lift is in the middle top to lift it up. Thats pretty stupid if you ask me. Not sure why it isn't on the lower part like all other helmets. Yes it will take some time getting used to, but curious to how scratched it will get from me constantly trying to find the lip to lift the visor. 2 Its noisy, compared to my Scorpion modular that DOES NOT lift behind the helmet. It was very noticeable. Honestly Its not much quieter with the chin piece down as it is with the chin up. Not sure how well the BT will work with the road noise. With Ear buds in, sound was greatly diminish compared to my Scorpion helmet. 3 Button for chin piece is difficult to use. I can unlock it, but it seems to take alot of effort when riding. My Scorpion was simple push button and it just opened easily. This one hopefully will break in over time. Would I buy it again? Time will tell. I am really loving the flip chin piece. I have a Concours 14 with electric windscreen. I thought that would be a novel thing (e-windscreen) but I use the heck out of it. The the flip chin piece some might see that the same way, but I am a rider. Not uncommon for me to rid 60,000 + miles a year. I will say I will never own anything but a modular helmet ever again. This is my second modular. So comfort wise this helmet seem decent so far, and the flip chin is absolutely a game changer. Build and construction of the helmet seem very good. Nothing seemed cheap or flimsy. Helmet is NOT light weight, but NOT heavy either. For what it is, it works well weight wise for me. ... show more

  • Good Helmet but . . . (Updated)
Size: X-Large Color: Gloss White
First, the Amazon bad: Someone must have been in the package. When the helmet was delivered it was in the backpack, sliding around inside a big generic box. There were no instructions, neither was there a dark face shield. Fortunately the Pinlock was also sliding around in the box. I guess it's possible the original box was torn up and in the process things were lost. Regardless it's unfortunate that I didn't get the complete package. The Helmet itself: As some have said, it isn't a 'quiet' helmet. It is louder than the Shark it's replacing. Beyond that it is very nice. Fit and finish are good. The tab on the face shield used to open it is in an odd location, top center. It's only odd because I'm not used to it. On my four day trip to break it in I got used to reaching for my forehead to open the shield. The lever to lower the internal dark shield is easy to find and operate. Some expressed concerns with the release for the chin bar. I have had no issue operating it with summer or heavy winter gloves. Haven't had any rain yet so I can't speak to the seal on the face shield. I don't know if it can be adjusted (since I didn't get any instructions). I'll have to look online to see if it's possible. Overall, a nice helmet Update: contacted the manufacturer and told them of the missing part. They quickly sent out a dark shield to replace the missing one. Apparently they don’t create instructions any more since they sent a series of links (that didn’t provide any info) but they tried. So thumbs up to the manufacturer. Amazon didn’t respond to the issue though. ... show more
