  • Great Boots
Size: 11.5 Wide Color: Sepia/Sepia
Week in, these are the most comfortable boots I've ever owned. Fit is great, and so far I've worn them out and about in over a foot of snow and haven't had anything get even close to wet. They aren't insulated, but I wear thick wool socks so that's actually a plus for me. Expensive, but another case of getting what you pay for. ... show more

  • Great Boot at a good price
Size: 11.5 Wide Color: Sepia/Sepia
With a good wool hiking sock, this boot fits great. Great Ankle support. An above average rubber sole, Except for the hottest NWern weather this will be my 3 season plus hiking/Camping/fishing boots. My wife has a pair and she lovesw hers too.

Size: 10 Wide Color: Sepia/Sepia
Great Boots! Took them on a 10 miles hike right out of the box with no problems.I have wide feet, and their wide sizes fit me perfectly. I left off a star because I haven't gotten them wet yet, so i can't attest to their "waterproofiness" Will edit review once I see how they are here in wet, swampy Florida. ... show more

  • Nice boot, tight toebox
Size: 10 Wide Color: Sepia/Sepia
Bought these as they're some of the few mid-size hiking boots in wide widths. Appreciate the tough Vibram sole and the waterproofing. Not so keen on the toe box, tighter than my Merrill's -- blisters on big and pinky toe as a result. Just managed a ten mile hike, any longer and would have been painful. May be better after more miles . . . ... show more

  • Toe crushing even with Wide option.
Size: 10 Wide Color: Sepia/Sepia
These boots are amazing if you have weak ankles. they have saved me multiple times this year alone from possibly ankle blowouts. the only issue and it is a big issue is that they are not wide enough. My small toe on each foot is being relentlessly crushed all day. I would also like to add that walking on a tile floor with wet boots is a death trap. Like ice skates. ... show more

  • Best Boots in This Class
Size: 10 Wide Color: Sepia/Sepia
I needed a pair of medium-duty hikers for day trips in the Rockies. I bought the Lowa Renegade GTX based on reviews for its comfort and quick break-in. I wore them a bit while walking the dog and found them to feel ready after just a few miles. They roll with my stride and are very easy on the feet. I just got back from a 6-day hiking trip in the San Juan Mountains of SW Colorado and I can say without hesitation that these are the most comfortable boots I've owned. We climbed many mountain passes and crossed a few streams. My feet were never wet. On uneven, rocky ground I would have liked more support, but my backpacking boots tear my feet up when I use them for light-duty so I can live with tired feet. This was some intense hiking, often 6-8 miles per hike with elevation gains of 2-3000' so it was a great torture test. I was the only one in our party of 6 with no blisters at the end of the week. I will mention that the sizes run SMALL. I usually wear a men's 10 regular and I had to go to a 10.5 wide. I tried a few pairs on at a local store. I also tried Garmont and Salomon for comparison, but I chose the Lowa for overall comfort and a smooth stride when walking. For northern use (ie Canada or Alaska) where you want wiggle room for multiple pairs of socks, I would have gone to a 11 wide. We'll see how long they last. I'm happy to get 5 years out of a pair of hikers cuz I run them hard. The Lowa are not cheap, but you get what you pay for. There's nothing worse than a cheap pair of boots on a long hike. ... show more

  • Worth the Investment
Size: 11.5 Wide Color: Sepia/Sepia
I have always purchased HI Tec boots but this time I wanted to upgrade and it was a decision I did not regret. The quality and appearance are a sight to behold and the picture does the boots an injustice. They fit like a pair of calf skin gloves and when you start walking I thought I had my running shoes on. Yes, they are expensive but worth the investment. ... show more

  • Love 'em
Size: 11.5 Wide Color: Sepia/Sepia
This is maybe my 10th pair of these things. I initially bought them because they come in Wide sizes that are hard to find. Turns out they fit great, keep the water out in wet conditions and grip anything and everything on a trail. Comfortable enough to wear all day and they're my go-to boots for photography bands in crowded and noisy venues. ... show more
