Once open, I washed the entire set, but there wasn’t any weird smells! It super soft and the fitted sheet fits well! It’s definitely black in color and didn’t fade after the wash. A+ Color .. A+ .. very classy looking. Off white, not blinding bright and not dingy (dirty) looking. Very clean. Beauty .. A+ Mattress stay .. ? just put the sheets on. Mattress fit .. A+ Rip resistance .. ? just put the sheets on. Fluffiness .. A+. 😊 Right straight out of the box/bag into the dryer. Didn't shake it or fluff it in any way. Dryer set on low heat for 20-30 minutes (went and did something else and actually forgot about it .. not uncommon!) Got it and went straight to the bed with it, so nice and warm and cuddly. Threw it on the bed and I am 100% satisfied with it. Used it last night and was plenty warm. Wish my husband was still here to enjoy it too . . .
