I am using these along with stick ons to get the wires that run my electronics off the floor. This is to help my none to bright sweeping robot. The largest shelf his holding up a power back up battery pack. I'm using the smallest one for extra support in that endeavor. I own my home so poking screw holes in the walls isn't an issue. What you need to be sure of: Will it support the weight and is it wide enough for what you're using it for. For nick nacks like little glass elephants or christmas cards this would be great. For books paperbacks would probably fit hard backs are going to stick over the edge. This would actually be great for making a nice home. I am "misusing" it to hold probably more weight than it was designed for and using a bit of string to connect the two shelves and distribute the weight. I bought this needing one shelf while I was baked. When it arrived I was elated to find out I had three of them. Construction was ok, and the screws didn’t hate being driven without a pilot hole. If they break because of that, it’s on me. You’re supposed to drill a pilot. But anyway I digress, these shelves are a perfect raised surface for you to keep a plethora of doodads on. Life changing if you’ve been keeping all your possessions at work on your desk while you await the succor of new storage to arrive in the mail so you can get organized. And get organized I did. I have these in my massage room stacked large to small and they are so cute. I wish i screwed the metal brackets at the end of the shelf so I had the most room.

These are nice shelves. I got both sizes. They are good quality and do exactly what I need. Kind of a pain to hand screw the brackets on but not impossible

    • Screw holes are not pre drilled.

When putting them together the brackets need to but screwed into the wood. They are no pre drilled holes so it is a little difficult without any additional tools. But you can just screw the screws in with pure force, though not recommended. The Wood also isn't a s hardwood, its pretty soft. Also I didnt hang my shelves with the screws but with velcro command strips and the metal brackets are just wide enough to hide the strips But overall the selves look nice. ... show more
