We bought two, one 28” and one 30”. They are both ash bats. The 28” weighs 23.5 oz, the 30” weighs 26.5 oz. Both are stamped on the edge grain, where most bats are stamped on the face grain. Check before you swing.

We have always been fans of Louisville Slugger bats and this one does not disappoint. We bought this bat for my 11-year-old son to play on his Majors Little League team. Usually, kids at this level play with aluminum bats since they are lighter and kids can get the speed of their swing to be faster. So, this will be a bit of a slower bat to begin with. However, we opt to go with wood for the very reason that it will develop more strength which will, in the long term, make them a better batter. So, remember that this bat is going to be significantly heavier than an aluminum bat. However, the price point on this particular LS is better as well. Looks good it is a little heavy than I thought. However not too bad for my ten year old. Did arrive with scuff and dint. I would sent back for another bat, however my son was excited for it and didn’t want me too. So I did not.

My kid hits with it daily in the cage, gives better feedback than the composite or alloy game bats. It’s a good balanced bat comparable to his game hype fire game bat. As a player if you want to get all the baseball moms and the pitcher’s hot older sister all hot and bothered by the way you wield your stick crushing bombs… practice. I ordered this bay for my 10 yo grandson for his birthday. It lasted all of 30 minutes before it cracked. Although Amazon sent a return label… I found after looking at the seller’s return policy that youth bats are not returnable unless UNUSED…they suggest you deal with the manufacturer.
