We got the Louisville Slugger 2025 Proven (-13) Fastpitch Softball Bat for my daughter and she absolutely loves it! It’s super lightweight, easy to swing, and has great pop. Her confidence at the plate has already improved and she’s making much better contact. Great bat for beginners or younger players—highly recommend! ... show more

So apparently, bats aren’t just aluminum sticks anymore? Welcome to 2025, where composite bats are a thing and my 9-year-old is swinging like she’s trying out for Team USA. This is our first venture into the world of fancy softball gear. Her coach said she was ready for a composite bat, so naturally, I spent weeks pretending to understand the difference between one-piece, two-piece, end-loaded, balanced, voodoo, magic...whatever. Eventually, I landed on the Louisville Slugger Proven, and honestly? Worth every penny. It’s light, easy for her to handle, and when she connects — that ball takes off like it owes her money. Her confidence went up, and so did her batting average (and yes, I totally take credit for that). Bonus: It didn’t break the bank like some of the other bats out there. If you’re a fellow parent feeling lost in the bat aisle — get this one. It’s simple, solid, and makes your kid feel like a rockstar. ... show more

    • 100% worth it **IF** you know about composite bat
Size: 30"/17 oz
*****For the people that are buying a composite bat for the first time, read this***: -you have to “break it in”, it needs time to warm up. You can do this with hitting balls off the tee or hitting live balls. -do NOT go straight to the batting cages, you could do more damage than good to a new composite bat -don’t expect big hits when it’s not broken in -the bats need to be “warmed up” in cold weather It really is 100% worth it! I bought this for my niece in 8U, transitioning from alloy to a composite bat. What’s great is that it’s a drop 13, which her other bat was, too. So when she swings, it still feels light with a comfortable grip even though she moved up in size. She went from a 28in drop 13 to this 30in drop 13. She’s taller than most players in her age group so a bigger bat was needed but she’s still a kid and a lighter bat, this bat, was a great next step! She’s been using this bat for a whole year now. It’s so light that her team mates borrow it when up to bat when facing a faster pitcher. It’s holding up well with even extra use from other players in games and practice. It also has a larger sweet spot than most bats. I’ve seen a lot of players with bats with smaller barrels that just end up stinging their hands with inside pitches. My niece & her teammates have been able to make better contact with it. Her teammates age range are a mix of 6-8 year olds on her team. I think almost everyone has tried out her bat at some point in the season. It’s that popular. An extra plus is that it looks cool. I love the blue color :). Oh, and you save lots of money. ... show more

    • Best next tier bat from beginner
Size: 29"/16 oz
Daughter has done well with it so far. Does take alot to break it in. Still get the tingle in the hands when hitting in batting cages. Great value for next step up in bat.
