This is only my second pair of bike shorts and they are a nice upgrade over the cheaper no name shorts I have been wearing. Looking to upgrade, I actually purchased three different brands of shorts to try, and kept these as the best of the three. The padding in these is somewhat thinner and more flexible than in my cheaper pair. That is a big advantage to me as I find them more comfortable on the ride. I usually wear size 34 pants and a size Large here just fits. I do find the material in the legs is snug, with a bit more compression than I’m used to, but not so much to be irritating. That is, the legs are tight but not too tight. Too soon to say how they’ll hold up but the material and construction both appear to be high quality.

Louis Garneau biking shorts are always fantastic. They are probably the only biking shorts my husband will ever wear. They took more time to arrive than most Amazon purchases-about 10 days. Nevertheless, they were worth the wait as well as the relatively high cost.

These shorts are comfortable and fit well, but the draw string is annoying. It is too short and went way back into the holes and I couldn’t get it back out. These shorts are a little more expensive than a lot of others, and I didn’t expect that issue with the draw string.

These are not the first pair of LG Bike shorts I have purchased and wont be my last. Completely worth the little bit extra you would pay for these as compared to the $29.99 that are available on Amazon (i have a pair of those as well). These fit perfectly and feel great. They are soft, comfortable and I'm sure will last as long as the others. Take heed to other reviews you read on other cheaper shorts and pay the little bit extra $'s.

I got a pair of these last year because of the description of thin padding compared to other shorts. The first pair was super comfy, I could ride for 50 miles in complete comfort. Recently these were changed to have padding at least as thick as other shorts, and they chafe in the crotch. After just 20 miles I have to stand on the pedals to get a break from the discomfort. Please bring back the original pad thinness!

PROS: What I like about these is that the chamois coverage in the rear is a bit wider than what I previously was wearing and works better with a wider saddle like the Specialized Power. I don't have to worry seams rubbing against the saddle and then rubbing against me. I've been using them for a couple weeks now on an indoor trainer logging between 70-90 miles each week and they've held up and are very comfortable. The Chamois isn't too thick or thin, they feel plenty breathable and look pretty good too with nice lines to them. COMPARISON: I used to wear pearl izumi shorts at the same price point and there is no comparison. These are hands down a much better short.
