The miniature house I built before didn't have this feature so the battery case had to be taped on the back. This set has everything you need except a long fine tip tweezer. This is my third book nook to put together, but the first of this brand. (The previous brand was CuteBee which was amazing.) Pros: -The sensor to turn on the light is great. -I was pleasantly surpised by the music box because that had somehow slipped my notice when I ordered it. -The final product looks mostly decent* and doesn't accuratley portray the struggles I had. -It came together pretty quickly. Cons: -Even using a utility knife, most of the delicate pieces broke. I think it is that the wood boards are just a little too thick. *The poor telescope is mangled because all three legs broke pretty severely. -The major structural pieces (sides, floor, and back) didn't fit together. I had to whittle down the tabs to get them to fit into the slots. -The ceiling didn't go on because the map on the left side is too high, even though I put it where the outline indicated. I didn't realize until after the glue had set and everything was done, so I'm not sure what to do about that now. ... show more

***Edit! Buy this from another seller and you might get one with correct instructions. I bought another from LORDSLDS. The parts are labeled correctly and it shows a production date of 6/30/23. I called Amazon about this one. They're allowing the return even though it was partially put together. I got this kit to make as an anniversary gift for my partner. Unfortunately, it's been a bad experience because of the errors I've found in the instructions. I've assembled several beautiful kits and this one is just so poorly made. See details below. Overall it's a pretty set, but the base material is not as sturdy as in other kits. Wiring in the lights is not tight as they turn on and off when the wires are moved. Acrylic window pieces are missing too. The book says there's a QR code to scan for help, but I couldn't find it. I'm going to call Amazon about it. Here are the errors I've found at far. I was intending this to be feedback to the maker and also for other crafters. I'm not sure if it's worth it anymore with how many errors I'm finding. **In step 2, part E2 in the book is actually part G20. **Couple things about step 4 with assembling the barrel... Part F4 in the book is actually I6, and part F3 in the book is actually I5. Also a clarification on the assembly... After G9 is attached to G10, one end of G10 is slightly longer than the other. The longer end goes into the base (I6), and then angle outwards a bit to make room for the other 7 panels. This is not clear in the book, so it took me a few attempts to figure it out. **Step 6 has multiple errors. C16 in the book is actually C22. D1 in the book is actually C16. C18 in the book is actually I7. (That took a while find.) **Step 7 also has multiple errors. E3 in the book is actually E2. F5 in the book is actually F3. If you buy this, good luck! ... show more
