I would not purchase this unit again. The parts provided with the weak instructions do not fit together. I called the customer service number and they were not helpful. I have a $400.00 pile of lumber at this point.

    • The new bookcase was very good
The new bookcase was very good. It did arrive with a slightly crushed back floor corner which is not visible from the front. It took me and my son about 2 hours to put it together (but I am slow). The bookcase is perfect for my needs and my books.

Unless you have assembled many Bookcases, AVOID THIS ONE! EVERY other piece of furniture that I have assembled, had had small stickers on every part, to make it easier to follow the instructions to put it together! THESE parts have NONE! AND the pictures of the small parts needed to fasten things together, are not printed in black & white, but, rather... in dark grey on a light grey background! ... show more

Yes, the instructions weren't perfect, but they were not too hard to work out. The thing that amazed me about this bookcase was that every single hole lined up, every piece fit together perfectly. Maybe they use computerized machines to cut/drill these days, because I've never had any self-assembly piece of furniture in the past that I could say that about. I recently put together a plastic shed, and I had to use clamps and drills to get everything to line up. This bookcase had no such issues. Pretty remarkable, I'd say. ... show more

This is a good quality bookshelf for the price. Unfortunately, mine arrived late, the box was torn, and every shelf has visible scratching and damage. I am requesting a full refund. Very disappointing.
