Wow! This is special. This devotional powerfully explores those thoughts we say aloud and those that swirl in our heads late at night. Author Kimberly Shumate reminds us that we are part of God’s love story and gifts us with vulnerable stories, a-ha insights, raw AND refined writing, and the wonder of universal needs and the personal God who meets those needs in intimate ways. Meaningful and rich.
I was fortunate enough to be gifted with a copy of this devotional. It’s not the usual lightweight encouragement I’ve come to expect. It’s real and appropriately raw, touching on many of the hard issues faced in life on a regular basis. It offers meaningful and practical encouragement for your faith in the midst of the hard stuff that the author supports with plenty of scripture. Positive and Uplifting!
Look Up, Girl! has a perspective that gets you to look beyond yourself and allow God to touch your heart in new ways. I have given this book to a friend who was in need of a positive outlook and a reminder that God is with us especially in hard times.
