The media could not be loaded. I bought this jacket for my summer trip to Ireland and Scotland. I am so glad I did because it rained every single day. Some days we had passing sprinkles, others it was basically monsoon season. Im usually a Large, but got an XL so I could layer the jacket with a hoodie. The Large would have worked fine for this, the XL was almost too big. There were lots of pros and cons, here are mine. Pros: - It kept me dry. We were in all kinds of weather and this jacket kept me dry. Obviously this is important as far as rain coats go. - It was nice and long. I have a long torso so I absolutely despise clothing that leaves a gap every time I bend over to tie my shoe or pick up something from the floor. This jacket’s length was perfect. - The pockets are a good size! I was able to fit my keys, wallet and passport in just one pocket. - The zipper and ties worked without issues. The zipper was easy to attach and detach, the quality was fine, and never jammed on other fabric while using it. The ties had metal ends and the cords was a good quality. - The jacket had a decent weight to it. It wasn’t so heavy you felt weighed down in it like a winter coat might. But it wasn’t so light that the wind could blow it up, and it was windy! - The hood was plenty deep! It covered my entire head and was deep enough to shield my face. Cons: - The jacket material is thin enough to see the liner through it. When I opened it, at first glance I wanted to return it. I wasn’t impressed that the you can see the liner thru the outer layer of the coat. It was disappointing. - The color didn’t match the photo. The pink is more of a tan-ish pink. - I was gentle with the snaps. Don’t get me wrong, the snaps worked great, but I was gentle unsnapping the coat because I was worried about ripping the fabric. It could have been that, because the fabric was see through I didn’t feel it was strong enough to just pull the snaps apart all willy-nilly. - The hood didn’t have a lot of structure. While it was deep enough, the edging/ opening didn’t have a lot to it so unless it was tied tight around the face, it would just kind of blow in the wind. And if it’s really windy, the edge would just continually slap against your face, which was annoying. - The ties at my waist worked, but they left a weird flap, which you can see in the video. The stitching should have gone all the way to the zipper. Since it doesn’t, when you tighten the waist ties, you’re left with the weird flaps and it makes you feel almost dumpy. I tired pulling the all the extra material to the back, but with normal wear it shifts to a natural position and you end up with the flaps. - The jacket doesn’t breathe. The lining is 100% polyester, plus the plastic/rubbery outside meant you will sweat. In colder temps that’s not a huge deal, but we were in and out of buildings so I was constantly zipping and unzipping to regulate my body temp. Overall it’s not a bad rain jacket for the price. If I bought it again I’d get a darker color, hopefully the lining wouldn’t be as obvious, and id fix the weird flaps in front. ... show more

I moved to the East Coast last year and finally realized I needed a good rain coat because it rains for days on end. I got this right before a trip to NYC and decided to take it with me last minute and am SO GLAD I did. This is rain proof. During one of our trip days it rained NONSTOP. For 10 hours straight, we were outside in the rain. I had an umbrella but with all the on and off busses, back and forth to places, walking outside everywhere, had plenty of chances to get nice and wet, my feet were soaked. Everything else stayed dry!!! I lost my umbrella for the last few hours of our trip and just put the hood up on this thing, stayed super dry and comfortable. It fits great, I got a medium (I'm 5'2 and 118 lbs), and love how cute and flattering it is, but still has room for a jacket or sweater underneath. I wore a jacket underneath because of how cold it was during our trip. I did not get this coat for warmth, I got it for rain, so if that's what you're looking for this isn't for you, it's not a warm winter coat. Such a worthy investment, love this coat! ... show more

This is the perfect spring jacket! It’s completely waterproof, cute and warm, but also lightweight. I’ve been wearing it when it rains and also when it’s too warm for a winter coat but I still need something. I got the light pink color so I feel like it doesn’t look too much like a rain coat.

It's beautiful and well made (that I can tell so far!). However, it is true to size, so if you're going to layer pretty bulky underneath, perhaps go up a size. I tried it on with a long sleeve blouse and it fit comfortably. I do think that if I were to wear a sweater or light jacket underneath, it would fit tight. ... show more

I have used this jacket fairly consistently for about 4 months. Today the zipper just refused to zip. It didn't break outright, but the teeth will not stay together no matter what. It was an okay jacket. The pockets were easy to get to and were big enough, it was waterproof to a point. The zipper was nice and big. I never got soaked through, but if I stayed out in anything beyond about half an hour, I felt pretty miserable without numerous layers. It was a decent light use jacket for the short term. Size M I am 5'10, 137 lbs and I needed a rainjacket with a hood. I got this lime green one and I like it a lot! It is long and fits loose enough to wear a hoodie underneath.
