I’ve never purchased something like this. Once I got the pattern of putting it together it became easier. I did rip a couple of the plastic shelves, but they still work. This is being used as a closet and has plenty of room. It is bigger than expected, 7’ wide x 5-1/2’ tall (my rough measurement.) I moved all my clothes to this closet to cut down on extra clothes. It’s spacious without taking up too much room. Assembly was relatively easy but there was a learning curve. Just be patient because the finished product is worth it.

From all the different reviews, I thought the instructions were dead on target. I mean yeah the clear sheets were the biggest pain, but I think all in all, it took me from I think 730-1000pm once it was done. I was doing other stuff too. One thing I did was I left all of the items In the bag so whenever it listed something as a Pole C, I would grab the pole from C and continued on. I put this together on my own. I'm 5'2" and this was one of the most difficult things I've ever had to assemble simply because of my height (or lack thereof). The rubber mallet was a blessing. Use it gently! I see a lot of people mentioning the plastic breaking. It didn't happen to me, but from what I've seen on similar products, it looks like they were too forceful. Overall, it just a little less than 2 hours. It has quite a bit of storage capacity. Most of my clothes are folded in cloth boxes and only about a dozen things are hanging. Most of the space is being used for unused bedding. Come winter, this will really see how much space it has with my large selection of sweaters. Keep in mind there's a reason this is so inexpensive. It's far better than the more popular brand I've seen, and that's the brand that has so many negative reviews. I have a friend with the same model by that brand and hers ended up falling over with just a few pillows on top and the inside of it serving as a proper closet. Remember this is mostly plastic with some metal tubes. It's not designed to handle a lot of weight, so just keep that in mind. I don't have very many clothes seeing as I'm home 24/7 and don't really see anyone aside from my husband. The space where things hang doesn't look well suited for anyone tall. I have my knee length dresses hanging in this, and the bottom hem on the dresses brushes against the bottom. That's barely four feet. If you're tall or have a lot of long clothes, opt for other options. Also, refrain from putting a lot of clothing on the bars. They're hollow and will bend or break with little effort. This is fantastic for a low budget, but remember this isn't one of those heavy duty wooden wardrobe closets. ... show more

The closet looks organized enough. The rods are nice finish and seems strong but all the plastic connectors are either too slippery or loose, causing the rod falling off frequently (i made sure to ham each joint all the way with the provided hammer). Whenever this happen I have to empty the entire closet to but the rod back to the joint otherwise it's too heavy, and doesn't work. The depth is good to hang children clothing size with a lot of room but pretty tight for adults hangers. I also find it's quite wobble on the rug rather than on hard wood floors. The door is not very convenient as you have to seat down on the floor to zip it up. It would be more user friendly if they just make the door with magnet strip instead of zipper. I think it's going to last me a phew months if I'm lucky. I'm going to test it out for a couple weeks to see if it's worth the purchase but I may return it. ... show more

I was terrorized by the reviews here, and as such scoured for alternatives. In the end, I took a calculated risk and went for it. The drama surrounding the assembly is overstated in my opinion. Be smart, but it's hard to go wrong. Just know the B poles from the C poles. Also, I did screw up by not adding the plastic squares 'as I went' so to speak. So, it was either, Avengers, "Disassemble!," or pull the tubes out of the joints without having to do it all over. It may even be faster that way. If assembly is your barrier, don't let it be. AESTHETICALLY it depends on where you put it. Ours is in a back hallway, so appearance is not high on the list. While putting on the zipper cover I too, tore it a bit in an unnoticeable place. It is a cheap fabric that may not cut it as such a big part of a bedroom. I'm adding LED lights to it. FUNCTIONALLY it's the bomb. I live in a three-bedroom with my wife until we get our first house. It has opened up so much space. LASTLY, it's cheap, so set your expectations accordingly. It was made probably by some poor kid or family that will never even have enough clothes to fill such a unit. So please chill with your first-world problems. ... show more
