…..even though it is described as aluminum no less than SEVEN times in the ad! Every bit of it is magnetic, which means ta-da, STEEL. Big difference between the two metals. I knew it was steel before I even placed a magnet on it, it was glaringly obvious. Also, the way that these pieces bolt together makes it completely impossible to attach your license plate flat on the backing plate. There will always be 4 large bolt heads protruding, which means that if you screw your plate down tightly, it will be forced to bend and buckle to accommodate the way this is held together. What is it about Chinese companies that makes it difficult for them to understand the difference between aluminum and steel? I see this time and time again with imported parts. Between that and the way they ignorantly designed this so you can’t fit things together correctly, I wonder at the basic quality of this thing. Wow, just wow…. ... show more

I am pleasantly surprised of the quality of this item I was not expecting what I got for the price that I paid I was expecting something flimsy and cheap that would not withstand the snow and salt that would eventually cause me to have to take it off and replace it within a year or two but instead what I got was a very substantial good quality product made to install very easily that will fit most any bike whether it be a motorcycle e-bike or if you want to get a novelty item for your mountain bike it will fit that as well. It's appearance is very professional it looks like something that would fit on numerous styles of bike whether it be a high-speed motorcycle or a Harley-Davidson or my e-bike that I commute with every day it's just that versatile. There's numerous ways you can install it and I'm sure you will find one that will make you happy. I recommend this highly over other options that I've had the pleasure or displeasure rather of using. I put this on my tracker scrambler build Kawasaki KLR650 and I used the rear axle as the mounting hole. It fits nice and tight and I really really like the hardware included with this one. It didnt come with a allen key like some other stuff might but its not hard to find a fitting bit for it. The hardware is black and much nicer quality than expected. The installation was straightforward and easy and took about 15 minutes. Installing a light for the plate and a stop light up top is easy too. ... show more

cheap metal broke in 4 days got a dam ticket for not displaying licsense plate because the dam metal broke and lost my plate on freeway thanks for the headache ! i can’t even return it cause it’s somewhere on the interstate 5 …cost me a ticket . time it took to go get a new plate plus the fees i had to pay ... show more
