Tried this product for several months hoping the quality of content would improve, but definitely did not ever come close to expectations.

This was a gift for my 7 yr old grandson. There are many activities to complete and enjoy. The comic book is the hit. He and his sister are looking forward to monthly box.

This box was OK and kind of cute but definitely not worth the money. The activity was flimsy and broke during the actual building. There was a little board game but after 1 play, the kids were over it.not impressed.

  • Way over priced!
Plan Option: Science Jr. Premium (with book)
A small pamphlet with instructions for a quick easy experiment and a card stock punch out of a seal. The quality and price point for this product should be less than the cost of a happy meal toy. Stuff for the experiment had to be purchased separately. Seriously, if they would have just included the items for the experiment (only about $10 worth of items) I would have been satisfied enough to keep the subscription because my little guy was so excited for it to arrive. However, the disappointment and having to wait until I could get to the store to do the experiment makes this box beyond disappointing! ... show more

  • Not a good investment
Plan Option: Science Jr.
When my granddaughter turned three, I signed her up for the Little Passports geography packages. They seemed well received and enjoyed, according to my son. When she turned six last year, I began having the science packages sent. Imagine my surprise when visiting my son's family last week to hear my son say that the directions for the science projects were difficult to decipher (fyi, he has a PhD in ChemE) and often parts didn't even fit together. Worst of all, the resulting projects were flimsy and of poor quality, resulting in frustration and disappointment for my granddaughter. I offered to switch back to the more advanced geography packages but my son suggested that I cancel Little Passports altogether. I am so very disappointed. Since I am an engineer, I really wanted to encourage my granddaughters interest in math and science. Unfortunately, Little Passports turned out to be a poor investment. ... show more

  • Excellent quality but not age appropriate-- maybe 8-11
Plan Option: Science Jr.
I've gotten this box for several months. The contents are great, the materials well thought out and educational, and I love the consistency in how information is presented. I.E, there's always magazine that has a consistent format, and a lot of the materials are made at the same level of quality with instructions, etc. My problem with this is my 5 (almost 6 year old now) is not able to understand the level that the information is presented at, nor is she able to build the demonstrations with a 5 year old's limited dexterity. I had to build every single demonstration myself while she watched with minimal ability to assist. Considering that it can take an hour or more to build something, she'd get bored and want to "help". It hasn't been much fun. Also, I'd read the materials to her and most of it would go over her head. Note this from the current box: "Newton's 2nd Law: The force exerted on an object is equal to the object's mass times its acceleration. The acceleration of a gymnast spinning on a beam is based on their mass and the force of the energy they exert." This is completely ungraspable by a 5 year old. I'm ditching this box subscription and will come back in 3-5 years. ... show more

  • Cheap, not worth $25

Cheap cardboard. Would’ve expected it to be plastic or more durable for $25!
