Some of the other reviews talked about the smell, and it does have a strong odor. I took everything out and washed it with Dawn dish soap. Then I sprayed the box, mostly the felt shelf, with apple cider vinegar and water (50/50) and left it outside. The smell is gone and the little girl loves it! I would give this no stars if I could. The makeup case doesn’t come with much for the price but had cute packaging so I bought it. When my daughter opened it, I noticed a weird smell and thought it was maybe the makeup. The second day the smells was unbearable and almost gives me a headache it is so unpleasant and indescribable of why it would smell that bad. My daughter loves the makeup but I will have to get rid of the whole thing because it is horrible and I can no longer stand it. ... show more
