Its container is deep yes easy to empty right back into the litter box! I think they use it to help them poop and per too cuz that’s no longer ending up on the floor off the edge! This litter box step works wonderfully. I recently bought a self cleaning litter box and was looking for something to help my cat enter the box because the entry is higher off the floor. It’s stable and doesn’t tip over. The slotted tray catches any litter as my cat exits the litter box. The tray is easy to remove to empty the caught litter. Cat won’t use it bc it falls over easily when stepped on. I took this away and she finally uses the litter box. So, I have absolutely no use for it.

This step is great - except thw height is mot adjustable and is very low. It was recommended as a step for an automatic litterbox i purchased - but was so far below the entrance to the litterbox - it was little help. On the other hand - on the occassions she did jump out of the box onto the step - it did capture all litter dust. It worked great for what it does. But - i first tried adding a household step stool (See photo) and then ultimately bought a wider two step stool 9with storage under the steps) that came up closer to the box opening and gave our cat a wider ‘front porch’ on which to step first, groom the box and herself, and/or enter and exit. Bottom line - i wish the legs were adjustable or could be swapped for longer legs. ... show more
