I needed these for a walker so that it would glide across hardwood floors instead of having to pick it up to move it due to the rubber feet. The existing rubber feet are still in excellent shape on the walker, and so this presented a bit of challenge to install the tennis balls. The X cut in each ball was just big enough to fit without cutting further. I figured out a method to install them over the rubber feet, but depending of your dexterity using a vise or a helper would work. If you can imagine the X cut forming four petals, I got two of the petals open and against the side of the rubber foot. I then used a flat screwdriver to get the third and fourth petals pried out just over the edge of the foot. I then used a pair of needle-nosed pliers to grab one of the petals and pull the ball all the way over. There was no problem with the pliers damaging the felt. The ball's rubber is thick, and the felt is adhered well to it. By the time I got to the fourth leg of the walker I was an expert! Note that if you were installing these on a walker where the rubber feet were worn or no longer there, the installation would be much easier. How well these hold up over time would certain depend on the surfaces you use them on. For indoor use on wood or tile, other than picking up lint, there's little to no wear. If you used these on concrete, etc, then your mileage will vary.

This review is for LITIAN 4 Pack Pre-Cut Tennis Balls for Walkers, dark gray. I have a family member who has a walker with the rubber feet. It's hard for him to lift and move the walker and he'd rather slide it. These tennis balls fit the bill perfectly! They're just the right size for the legs, although getting the pre-cut hole over the rubber feet was a little bit of a challenge. They seem to be of good quality, and don't feel like they'll wear out quickly. The gray color almost matches the walker, so the tennis balls don't stand out like a real bright yellow tennis ball would. These work really well for my family member. He's happy now that he can slide his walker across the floor.

I really don’t find any cons to this set. So that said: As you will see, the slits in these tennis balls are nice and deep and wide. They’re not so wide so that they will slip off when you’re lifting up an item that you’re using these with. But they’re not too snug —meaning they are just wide enough to put on the base of a chair leg or a walker, without great strain—or without needing to try to cut the slits even longer than they are now. That’s a drawback of some other competitor products, that you will not find here.This manufacturer made the slits a perfect size for people to pop these on the bottoms of chairs or walkers. Meanwhile, these seem thicker than other competitor brands. I will hazard the guess that if you use these for a walker, especially, the material will endure for a longer period of time than you may find with competition brands out there. Overall, this is a really good deal for four pre-split tennis balls, that you can use on furniture or on walkers, in order to make your life easier and better. Best of all, the price is a great value for what you’re getting. I definitely recommend these.

I ordered these for my 95 yr old father’s walker. They were very easy to install. His walker has wheels on the front so I only used 2 of the tennis balls and will use the other 2 for replacements as needed. He can move easily from carpet to tile without the legs catching. The tennis balls also make for quieter movement. They seem to be a little heavier than the previous ones we used. Great value.

The Litian 4 pack pre-cut tennis balls for walkers contain two pairs that cover the rear legs. I am not sure I would describe them as "heavy duty," because they seem thinner and stiffer than the glide balls purchased at a local pharmacy. The Litian pre-cut slits are not long enough, which makes them notably harder to put on. A sharp, Swiss army knife may be needed to carefully extend each slit a little so each ball goes on more easily. Other than the knife, no tools are required. These glide balls do allow the walker to move more smoothly and more quietly on carpets as well as laminate floors, eliminating scuffing and scratching. While they also work on asphalt and sidewalks, expect the glide balls to wear out within a month or two if used a lot outdoors, because the outer felt is rather thin. The 4-pack is notably more cost effective than 2-packs, given their short lifespans.

These are really nice and will help a great deal on my slippery floors. I am going to have my knees replaced in the near future so getting prepared. I did remove the rubber feet from the walker as I could see it would be difficult to get these over the feet. They seem to stay on fine but actually using it will let me know how that works. I think I could get them over the feet with a bit of manipulation but they are fine for now. I like that there are choices of colors. The price is very reasonable especially since they will need to be replaced now and then. I had to squeeze pretty hard to break open the sliced areas but that means they fit snugly, too.
