  • Perfect automotive cleaning brush.
Pretty much my entire work life I've trusted others to do my mechanic work. I'm retired now and have recently decided to work on my cars again for relaxation (hahahaha). I've learned a whole new class of cuss words and have already messed up my shoulder throwing tools and car parts. Ahhh, about the brush. I remembered my dad having these brushes all around his gas stations in the 60s, and realized I was going to need one (or more) if I'm going to work on cars. Bingo! Out of the shoot was an easy ROI brush. My recently purchased 90s Wrangler is coated with dried mud and rust, and I have already put hours on this brush cleaning the Jeep. Between a wire brush, THIS BRUSH, and a compressor, cleaning rust and caked on dirt is actually satisfying and relaxing. This brush is stiff, it digs in to the crevices, gets out the heavy dirt, and it keeps its shape. Because of the low price 1) I will certainly buy a couple more to give as gifts and stocking stuffers 2) I will buy one or two more for my own tool shed, and 3) Easily give it 5 stars in this review. If you work on cars, clean gardening tools, or just routinely find yourself trying to clean out cracks and crevices, you need one or two of these babies around the house. I receive nothing in return for this review ... except knowing that you too might participate in the joy I've experienced by owning and operating one of these beauties. You can too. ... show more

  • Good cleaning brush with stiff bristles
I got into car detailing the the past couple of years. I've spent hours looking at what cleaning instrument works best for different jobs on a vehicle. One of them was a cleaning brush for use on the wheels of a car. So after looking around on Amazon and different websites, I decided to give the Lisle 14000 Parts Cleaning Brush a shot. This tool is a necessity when cleaning around the wheels of a car. It's small enough to get into tight spaces but big enough to do serious surface cleaning. It's also especially helpful when cleaning around lug nuts. When I received this in the mail, I was very happy with the size of it. It fits in the hand nice and felt very durable. The bristles were a little stiffer than I expected but I hopefully that wouldn't be an issue. When I was cleaning the wheels for a first time, the bristles remained stiff (and have done so after repeated use). While some people might prefer this, I don't. It would have been nice if they were a little bit softer. It takes some force to get them to all to flatten out when cleaning the surface of the rims but nothing extraordinary. It fit into the openings of the wheels nicely and did a good job of removing built up break dust. Again, I wish the bristles weren't as stiff as they are. On the plus side, I've only noticed a few of the bristles falling out. They're packed in their very tightly thus preventing it coming apart. Overall, I'm happy with the brush and don't regret purchasing it. But, I will be looking for one that doesn't have as stiff of bristles as this one. All things considered, this definitely deserves a spot on the shelf. I hope this review was helpful! ... show more

  • Quick 3 Day Delivery - Decent Price - Brush Worked Just Fine For My Intended Use
5 STARS - Primarily because the brush is well made, Priced fair, and performed just fine for my intended usage. * While changing out a water pump on my old 1999 Dodge Caravan I got filthy removing the greasy splash guard to get to the pump. So I sprayed it with Power Purple degreaser and used this brush to clean it up before re-installing it. * Then, I needed to replace my rear valve cover gasket that hadn't been touched in 16yrs because they are so difficult to get at on these Caravans. My valve cover was filthy with grease & grime and I got it respectfully clean using this brush along with Power Purple. * It also did a great job cleaning up my Trany Pan when I did a Fluid, Filter, and Gasket change. BOTTOM LINE - When the brush 1st arrived it sat in my room a few weeks before I was able to psych myself up to start work on my old POS and every time I glanced at it I wasn't all that impressed because I thought it was way to big. When I finally mustured up enough energy to do the repairs it turned out this brush is a perfect size. VERY PLEASED WITH THIS PURCHASE. ... show more

  • Good Quality Brush, somewhat stiffer than anticipated.
The brush is of good quality so no complaints in that regard. My only minor issue is that the bristles on this brush are somewhat stiffer than I anticipated. If I would have had an opportunity to inspect one of these before purchase I wouldn't have purchased this particular brush, due to the type project I need it for. It may soften up over time and if so that will be better suited for the tasks for which it was purchased. On the basis of quality I'd wouldn't hesitate to purchase again or recommend to anyone for any project requiring a pretty stiff bristle. ... show more

  • Best brushes for solvent based cleaning, bar none.
Best brushes for solvent based cleaning, bar none. If you will be working with solvents, spend the few extra $$ and get these brushes. I have used many brushes restoring my cars over the years. Tried to save a couple $$ more than once. Those other brushes (cheap) deteriorate in the solvents, loose thier stiffness, and in the end, you spend a lot more time trying to clean parts and the brushes are ready for the trash after just 2 or 3 heavy usages. Again... spend a couple dollars more per brush, you will be glad you did. Hope this helps your purch decsion. Jim ... show more

  • You don't know how valuable this is until you use one
I had one of these long ago from from my dad. I didn't realize how valuable they are when you need something with stiff bristles and not too big for cleaning small or hard to reach spots. I foolishly got rid of it, but now I need it for so much. For cleaning parts, for detailing car engines and lugs, for debris on equipment. I keep realizing what I can use it on. Put one on your tool box, detail kit, whatever, but if you're a do it yourselfer, you need one of these. ... show more

  • Great parts cleaner brush
I use this on my bike parts...bearings, chain, rear cassette, crank rings. It's just the right amount of stiffness. It's also suitable for heavier parts in a parts cleaning station, too. Very durable. Bristles are stiff but not too stiff.
