You know those road trips where your kids in the backseat constantly yell "I can't see!" while trying to watch their tablets? Well, this LISEN car mount just turned my backseat into a mini movie theater, minus the overpriced popcorn. First off, the installation was so easy that I actually did it without having to call my tech-savvy teenager for help (a personal victory). The headrest mount is sturdy - I hit a pothole that I swear was trying to swallow my car whole, and the iPad didn't budge an inch. What really impressed me is the 3-in-1 design. The adjustable arm makes it perfect for both my 6-year-old who sits straight as an arrow and my 8-year-old who somehow manages to slouch in 17 different positions during a single car ride. It fits everything from my ancient iPad Mini to my newer 11-inch iPad Pro like they were made for each other. The build quality is surprisingly premium for the price point. The grips are padded just right - firm enough to hold the device securely but not so tight that you need superhuman strength to remove your tablet. And let's talk about that 360-degree rotation feature - my kids can switch from landscape to portrait mode faster than they change their minds about what snacks they want. One unexpected bonus: the car organizer feature has finally given all those random backseat items a proper home. No more stepping on lost charging cables or hearing mysterious crunching sounds when someone sits down.     • It does the job but not for bulky cases.
I recently purchased the iPad car mount for the back seat headrest and I have mixed feelings about it. While it has some great features, it also has some major drawbacks that make it difficult to fully recommend. On the positive side, this car mount is very sturdy and convenient. It securely attaches to the headrest of my car and does hold an iPad in place while driving. The adjustable arm allows for easy positioning and the 360-degree rotation feature is a nice touch. It also has a sleek and modern design that looks great in my car. However, the biggest issue I had with this mount, and the reason I returned it, is that it does not work with bulky cases on the iPad. I have an Otterbox case on my daughter's iPad and unfortunately, it does not fit in this holder. This is a major inconvenience as I have to remove the case every time I want to use the holder. It also makes me question the durability of the holder as it seems to be designed for thinner cases only. I also found that the holder is not compatible with all types of headrests. It works well with the traditional adjustable headrests, but if you have a built-in headrest or a non-adjustable one, it may not fit properly. This limited compatibility is something to keep in mind before purchasing. Overall, I would say that this holder is only worth considering if you do not have a bulky case on your iPad and if your car has a compatible headrest. If you meet those criteria, then it is a great option for keeping your iPad secure and easily accessible while on the road. But if you have a bulky case or a non-adjustable headrest, I would recommend looking for a different holder that is more versatile. ... show more
