The media could not be loaded. Order two of these 1 pound shiitake mushrooms blocks. I was impressed with the way Oakland mushroom co. Package there product. This shiitake mushroom block is extremely healthy! Smells a bit different then other mushroom blocks, that is normal smell for shiitake. Got it delivered on the 9th of January didn’t start till the 11th Of January, I was harvesting mushrooms by January 24th. Instructions could be more informative, like the temperature for fruiting block. Grew one in the “kit”/bag that comes with this product. And one in a mono tub tek. I would 100% NOT use the bag that comes with the kit. Extremely difficult to keep the humidity bag up right without touching the shiitake block. The shiitake block in the humidity bag only produced about 4 mushrooms. The one that I grew in the mono tub tek grew about 8 ounces of mushrooms. Extremely happy with this product. Will recommend and purchase again. Pictures of the fruiting block are the first flush. The time laps video at the end is the second flush.

I really like this product but I wish they had clearer instructions. Once the mushrooms start to grow they don’t tell you how long to leave it in the humidity bag. I did contact the company & they were very helpful and answered quickly. My grandchildren were excited when the mushrooms started to pop out. I do recommend and will be purchasing it again.
