  • Wow! Better than I imagined.
Size: Recessed 2pin, 3.5mm Color: Moss
One of my favorite pair of IEM's to listen to EDM/House music with are the KZ Zax. That IEM is unlike the majority of KZ's line of IEM's. While KZ's are known for having a very pronounced V shape sound signature with a mid-range that gets lost under booming bass and almost shrill highs. Because the Zax's are a hybrid and not full armature they have a dynamic driver for the low end and 7 armature drivers per earpiece. The dynamic driver fixes a lot of the boomy low end issues that KZ's had become famous for. What really surprised me when I first listened to them was the presence of the mid-range. It is there and present in all the good ways you would want it to be yet never over powering. It was love at first listen and over the years that I have owned my KZ Zax's they have quickly become the IEM's I always have with me and listen to most often. Anyone who has ever owned a pair of KZ IEM's knows that the weakest part of any of their line is the cable that they include with their IEM's. The stock cable barely passes as something I would give any thought of listening to music through. They leave a lot to be desired. So the first thing to be ditched in a drawer somewhere is the stock cable. For the past year and 7 months I have had two 3rd party cables (the second one replaced the first one when the connection started dropping in and out in the left ear piece), While not the best cables available, they were far superior to the stock cable, they cost around $12 each and both of them lasted over 7 months before the internal wires started breaking at the bend points. I usually keep my phone in my front pocket with the headphones plugged in and I have a bad habit of leaving it that way when I sit down which is why I am very hard on cables and they all succumb to breakage at the bend points. Last week the second 3rd party cable finally started to show signs that death was imminent and the right ear piece was going to stop working very soon. I jumped on Amazon and started looking for a new replacement cable. The Tripowin Zonie caught my eye. Not so much because I knew it had superior sound quality due to its impressive build quality but more for its overall thickness. A 16 core silver plated cable is not going to internally break as easy as a 4 core cable (or at least common sense is on the side of the 16 core cable). Sure, I knew there would be some amount of better sound but I was really thinking about how sturdy that thick cable looked. My first impression upon unpacking the cable was that it really is a quality build using quality parts. As an added bonus it is also stunning looking (dare I say sexy as well). Then I put my trusty Zak's in my ears and kicked off some music. Wow! I didn't even have to think about whether they did or did not sound better. The music now has a noticeably smooth underbelly. The notes seem to be gliding effortlessly in the air. Until I started listening with this cable, I didn't even realize that sound coming out of my Zax's was traveling over a gravel road. At least that is the best way to describe it. I wasn't expecting this level of improvement but the ear to ear smile plastered on my face says a lot about just how good this cable is. At around $20 it is more than worth every penny. ... show more

  • Great sounding balanced IEM cable
Size: 2pin-0.78mm, 4.4mm Color: Altea
This cable noticeably improved the sound of my Moondrop Kato IEMs, though I can't be certain if it's due to better materials (OEM is just OFC, IIRC), or the fact that now I'm able to use the balanced output from my FiiO KA5 USB dongle. Probably both? The plug ends are very nicely made, though a longer strain relief sleeve seems like it would be a good idea on the 4.4mm plug. The cable is very flexible and doesn't hold its shape aggressively, which is nice, thought the polymer sheathing is grippy enough that it can tug on the IEMs when it rubs across my messenger bag shoulder pad. Nice cable, for moderate cost and better than the stock cable on a set of $100+ IEMs. ... show more

  • If you use stock cables, GET THESE!
Size: Recessed 2pin, 3.5mm Color: Moss
Honestly, those cables are pretty thick vs stock cables that I had installed on my PR1 Pro. I bought two sets just to have two different colors for my two IEMs. > Sound-wise, Dont expect to hear a big difference, as I cant tell a difference personally but YMMV. > Feel-wise, those do feel very nice, I dont think they will break anytime soon. They do feel premium without spending much $$. Highly recommended. ... show more

  • Nice Upgrade
Size: Recessed 2pin, 3.5mm Color: Grey
This is a really nice upgrade for a budget IEM. I have bought two so far and find them very nice, way better than the cables that come with the IEM's. Stock cables work fine but these feel much nicer and look a lot better.

  • Good cable but MMCX still sucks
Size: MMCX, 3.5mm Color: Pink
Using this cable with my Sennheiser IE200s. It requires you to cut off some plastic on the cable, but that is Sennheiser's fault and not the cable. Afterwards, it works fine. However, I've had a lot of MMCX cables break and this one already cuts out occasionally if I move my head sometimes. Detaching and reattaching (sometimes blowing on the connectors helps) sometimes fixes it for a while. ... show more

  • great quality cable for the price
Size: MMCX, 4.4mm Color: Violet
I bought this to replace Tin T4 terrible stock cable and it worked great. Very high quality for the price and I have been using it almost daily for about 1.5 months w/o any problems.

  • Zoe is very nice cable for $20
Size: 2pin-0.78mm, 3.5mm Color: Zoe
Decided to try the Zoe over the Zonies because it has less cores and I prefer that. The cable is very nice, looks mostly like a silvery cold grey in most lighting, matches well with grey or gunmetal IEMs (I have this Zoe paired with the Tin C2). I would prefer a little more strain relief, but otherwise well made. The chin cinch is usable but a little loose but doesn’t fall down on its own. The ear hooks are very soft, actually maybe a little too soft, but depending on your preference that made be a good thing. The clear ear hook heat shrink is very thin and hard to see, but it is there. The cable feels great and behaves well, although it does have a little bit of memory, probably due to the cable “braiding” being mote of a twist than a braid per se, but it’s really minor and not a big deal. The 2 pin connector has that little notch that allows it to fit inside IEMs that have the square recess where the cable plugs in (like moondrop, truthear, etc). The 2 pin fits snug but not super tight, and the connections are good with no interference, dropouts, or static when moving around. Overall, I like it and would recommend. ... show more

  • Feels premium, sounds good.
Size: Recessed 2pin, 3.5mm Color: Grey
This cable feels much nicer than the one that came with my zs in ear monitors. It's very soft and flexible, and the connectors fit tight.
