The table is made of a nice wood, not sure what type. The table top is a laminated marble design.Not real marble...I guess I didn’t read description closely. However it is very pretty and attractive. Cleans nicely. One main reason I bought these, was not only for the looks but because you can easily put the tray over your laps down your legs and there is no crass bar at bottom to get in the way of your feet. Very important.Nothing worse than trying to slide a TV tray up to eat or use as a table for iPad and there’s a bar at bottom hitting your feet. ... show more

The marble look complements my other furniture beautifully. I was captivated by its color and size. The only thing that required assembly was the holding stand. Fortunately, my 13-year-old son managed to put it together effortlessly. However, we did notice that the stand wobbled after we assembled it. But once we stood on the legs we were able to stabilize it, and the wobbling issue was resolved. ... show more

I was having lots of company and did not have enough table and chair space. I got this set so the older guys could eat in the living room.. They trays are really nice but I found the stand next to useless. It was very flimsy so I ended up throwing it away. I just store the trays in the close.

the tables came really nice. It's like a vinyl covering that looks like marble. The only thing I don't like about them is that they don't have rounded corners so they're easy to nail with your leg. Also since they are black if you bounce them into anything. Even putting them into holder. It takes the black coating off of it and you can see the wood underneath. when you get them you do have to put together the holder it's in pieces. Goes together really easy. Has picture diagram. However the bolt covers it came with just fall out. I don't mind seeing black screws but other people might. Side note: Also if you're trying to use this with a laser mouse for your computer the laser mouse does not read on it. So you will need a mousepad. But I'm very happy with them specially for the price. They look very elegant. ... show more

The product is the combination of 4 tables and one storage stand. We anticipated the product to be a good fit for our needs. However, one of the tables fell apart when I picked it up the first time it was opened. See the image. The screws are too short to be an effective attachment means and the glue joint failed. See image. The screw holes in the stand parts do not line up -- causing the screws to be unable to go into the piece straight. Each screw gets pushed to an angle. Thus, stand assembly is a significant undertaking, likely not doable by most people. The price is low. That's great. However, when the product cannot be used, the low price suddenly becomes an excessive price. The 1 star Overall Rating is too much. I was concerned that if I did not click it that someone would assume I did not deal with the topic. This product actually gets a ZERO RATING from me. This is not the quality that we have experienced from Amazon. This is a great disappointment. ... show more

I love the faux marble finish. The tray tables wipe clean easily with a little soap and water. The tables are very cute, but are extremely lightweight which can be a blessing and a curse. I would like them to be more weighted, which would make them more sturdy. Because they are so lightweight, it seems they will get knocked over easily. For the one I am currently using, it appears that the base is not attached symmetrically. I have not checked the others. The corners are squared, pointy and sharp. I prefer rounded corners. These tables are replacing wooden tv trays I've had for almost 30 years, if not more. I do not believe these will last as long, but we shall see. All in all, the tray tables looks very nice, but they lack the quality to substantiate the price. Update: The corner of the second table is pealing, prior to any use.
