I got this notebook on a whim and I use it at work to organize my thoughts before my shift starts. The front is a sort of faux leather that takes stickers very well (and honestly what is the point of a journal if you can't cover it in stickers?) and its elastic holds up. The paper itself isn't anything to write home about, pun maybe intended, but it doesn't bleed the heavier gel pens I use. If I were an ink artist who liked lined sketchbooks, however, this wouldn't be my first choice. The double ring holds the paper well but sometimes a little piece of a page will fold over, which means its hard for the notebook to close properly. It's annoying to fix but not an end all be all. There's worse and better notebooks out there, but this is a good middle of the road choice.

The notebook is pretty. The leather on it is smooth and the wire seems sturdy. The actual faces of the notebook are fairly bendable and I’m not a fan or that. The paper is way too thin. Feels like tissue paper or Bible pages. The pages definitely bleed as well so I only recommend writing with ballpoint pens, oil based ink or pencil. Definitely not a book the likes gel pens and I only use gel pens. Bummer. Has a nice amount of pages for the price but because of the bleed through you only use about half of the pages. Wouldn’t buy again but pretty
