The media could not be loaded. The silicon material is really gentle and easy for little hands to grasp and play with. It's such an excellent toy for my daughter, who is just a year old. During our car rides, it has been a lifesaver, keeping her happily occupied. I also appreciate the calming colors; they are soothing rather than overly vibrant, which is perfect for her.

This was xmas gift for our grandson. The description says 18+ month old. He is 6 month old this xmas, and has begun to grip and pull things with one hand. And began doing so right away with this toy and seems to like it. One of us has to hold the body of the toy while he grips a string ending and pulls. He was fascinated. As he grows, practice with this toy is obviously going to help him learn to grip and pull objects better, and eventually to use 2 hands. Of course it goes in his mouth, every toy is going in his mouth and getting a 'chew test'. It seems to be safe, though as with all toys I think they need supervised play to insure the toy doesn't come apart and a small broken off piece go down the throat. E.g. got to watch none of the end pieces on the strings breaks off and becomes a hazard.
