This dress is so well made. I ordered an ivory because it was scheduled to come sooner than the white and i was on a time crunch, but it's essentially white as well, which was fine with me! I did size up one size, but the lacing gives lots of grace. The beading is exquisite! It's relatively full but if you want that real ballgown type feel, add a petticoat. I cannot believe that I found a wedding dress on Amazon and that it was as inexpensive as it was but made so well. I was looking for a reception dress... Something sparkly, poofy, and overall, princess-like... Because when else will I have the chance to wear such a dress? I have a classic, elegant dress for the ceremony that I got from David's Bridal, but I wasn't going back there for another dress. It wasn't the best experience the first time and I wasn't looking to spend on a reception dress, as much as I did on the ceremony dress. I thought well, how bad could it be to look on Amazon and order something to try on? If I don't like it, I can send it back. I am utterly shocked and BEYOND happy with this gown. I also bought a hoopless petticoat to fill out the bottom and I'm wearing it in the pictures I attached to this review. Get the petticoat... You ordered a puffy dress, might as well embrace it. And I recommend the hoopless kind so when you sit, the dress doesn't stand up straight. Also, if it's windy, you see the hoops when the skirt material presses against the hoop. That doesn't happen with the hoopless kind. The back is a corset so it's forgiving in sizing and hips don't really factor in with this gown because it's so poofy. My only issue is that it is long. I am planning to wear flats so the dress is dragging on the ground by about 3 inches. If you wear high heels, or are taller than 5'5", then the length should be fine. I HIGHLY recommend this gown. Dream come true, really. For reference, I am 5'5", 34 D, 150 pounds, 37" chest, 31" waist, and 43" hips. I ordered both a size 8 and a 10. I tried on the 8 and it fit like a glove. I didn't even bother to take the 10 out to try it on. UPDATE: I had my seamstress add a sequined lace to the bottom of the tule skirt. I thought it would bring a bit more sparkle to the skirt part of the dress and it did that. But it also made the dress feel more finished. I'm beyond happy that I did that. Listen, a lot of these reviews are just saying how much they love the dress and are not helping with sizing. I had to go off of the little sizing a few ppl did post. ⬇️⬇️⬇️⬇️⬇️ My measurements are: Bust- 42” Waist- 35” Hips-49” •I weigh 215. I am 5’7. •My bra size is a 42D. •In street sizes I wear a 14-15 but can wear a 16 in pants depending on if the fabric has no stretch at all (but it’ll be big on my waist) •I have a pear shape and can wear bottoms in sizes L, XL, and 0XL. . •I can wear top sizes Ranging from S-XL. •I have wider hips and hip dips. ⬇️⬇️⬇️ No smell. Corset makes it a little heavy, but not unbearable. Amazon suggested my size as a 16 regular. I thought I needed to get a 16W because of the reviews and people saying size up. I’m glad amazon wouldn’t let me cancel the order lol. Honestly just take your measurements and go based on your body. I tried it on without the strap in the back for the corset AND with the corset tied. I was worried I got the dress too small because of the reviews but the 16 fits me PERFECTLY. with literally a little room to be comfortable in the corset area. I actually could’ve gotten away with getting the 14 but it would’ve probably been exact exact. NO ALTERATIONS ARE NEEDED for me!! This dress is BEAUTIFUL. Don’t hesitate to get it. ... show more

Great price for what you get…my only complaint would be the shape of the built in bra padding looked a little off from the side view if you’re picking it apart. Otherwise a really pretty dress and worth it to me instead of spending a fortune at a bridal store. After having the worst experience with the first dress I ordered; I ordered this as a backup. If I had known this dress was so stunning, I would have ordered it first. It came the next day after I ordered it and everything about it was amazing. The dress is high-quality fabric, the beading is gorgeous and the corset back makes fitting it so easy. As long as you invest in the proper undergarments to wear it off the shoulder YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED. This dress is BREATH TAKING!!! I wore it on our wedding day. Our ceremony took place outside in a botanical garden. My husband and I did our first dance to "Can't Help Falling In Love With You." I ordered a size 16. This material and corset was fitting and gave space in the back. I ordered a petticoat to go under the dress so it can give it a "fluffy" look. I didn't need to wear a bra. This gown is gorgeous to the floor and I had on high heels. This dress is fitting. If you wear a 14 get a 16 for more room- especially if you have hips and an apple bottom. If you wear a 16 - order a size 18 for room to move and dance around. I was able to dance and twirl and waltz and glide in this gorgeous dress. Many people were taking pictures and complimenting me on how gorgeous my dress was. We recorded our first dance. You can find it on fb under Rotonya Garner.
