It worked great... Until it didn't.. It lasted about a year and a half and then just crapped out stopped working and won't even turn on. Was hoping to get a little bit longer use out of it.. Edit: Ring reached out to me, and scheduled a troubleshooting phone call. Once they were able to determine it was in fact not working, they sent me a new one free of charge and it is working as it should. Very pleased with the customer service.

While I don't have any overt complaints about this item, I prefer the gen 1 ring chime. it's louder when needed. the night light is good though, that's worth the 5th star.

use the Ring Chime solely as a Wi-Fi extender for my outdoor Ring camera, and it works perfectly. Setup was simple, and the connection has been solid ever since. My camera had spotty signal before, but now the video loads faster and more reliably. Definitely worth it if your camera is far from your router!

The media could not be loaded. I honestly am experiencing issues because my ring cameras are behind a screen door. I hope this will help with any issues and at least when someone comes, I will immediately hear any motion and the doorbell. Using only my phone was not enough! I live in a small studio, but having a wifi extender for my ring devices is awesome! I have faith it is going to help whenever I may have other devices running off my wifi and now it helps even more because I do not have difficulty hearing my phone because it's wrapped under blankets, or somewhere random and I can't get to it. It was so easy to setup. It takes probably about up to 5 minutes at most to set up. I did wait in front of the device to have it setup via my phone. Then it gives you the option to connect your devices to the chime pro network. You have to do this for it to work! It will show your other devices connectivity and even if it says their strength is strong through your wifi. You still again MUST connect it to the chime pro, that's the reason of the chime pro because it is a wifi extender. Hope this helps :) I may come back to edit. I don't know how this will effect the life of my battery operated ring cameras, but luckily I have two backup batteries for them always charged. I suggest anyone that has battery operated ring cameras to invest in extra batteries. I'm so grateful that the chime pro just connects into the wall. I never really write reviews and hope this helps you!
