These light up birch tree's are a beautiful addition to your holiday home. They look great as décor for all winter long or to add to a Christmas or holiday display. They are very sturdy, are easy to put together and store well. They are a great value for the money as other tree's of the same size retail for a bit higher in stores; and are hard to come by in a complete set like this. The lights on the trees have a beautiful warm but not yellow glow. To store the trees you can push the branches in and tie them with any string. The trees also come in different complementary heights so they look great next to each other. Timer function can be achieved with a smart plug. The three pack of trees (4, 6 and 8 feet) coordinates well to create a layered effect when you stand them together. The overall build quality is acceptable for the price. Light color I would say is somewhere a little above what most people would call warm white. They are not cool, but just don’t expect a overly yellow glow like traditional incandescent Christmas tree lights. A few tips: - I recommend bending the branches to follow straight lines, pointed about 45-60 degrees upward. This seems to create the most natural look. I saw a lot of customer images with bent branches that do not look optimal (realistic). Setting up the trees is not too bad, it took me about 30 minutes for all three. - The bases are just plastic and not weighted. Although the bases have a larger area for the taller trees, they can be easily knocked over. I suggest weighting them down, especially if you have pets or kids that might bump them. - Apart from the light color which as I said is acceptable, the brightness when all trees are on at night is enough to light up a room, almost as if you had the room lights on. While I am sure this level of brightness is a good thing if you are using them outdoors, I find it to be a bit too much for the softer holiday mood lighting I am trying to achieve. Thus I can only rate this product 4 stars. I do not believe the manufacturer officially supports a dimmer switch accessory. It may be possible to use a 3rd party dimmer switch with 24 volt output, but I have not seen any of the prior reviewers try or at least confirm if it works or not. The lack of dimming support is a disappointment given the higher level of brightness, at least for my use case and expectations. ... show more
