  • EASY TO FOLD - MAKES YOUR PHOTOS GREAT! WATCH VIDEO!
The media could not be loaded. Rather then tell you in words how great this White Balance tool is I made a video review showing the item, case, and how to fold it up. It is awesome and makes your photos and videos so much better when working in less than optimal lighting situations. Please like the review if you found it helpful. ... show more

  • Cheap, durable, accurate, compact. Can't get any better than that.
For less than $10, every photographer should have one of these. The edge feels like a thin neoprene or lycra. The internal spring seems very strong and durable. The calibrated surface seems to be waterproof and is easily cleanable. The storage pouch is the perfect size. It's even got a loop on one end, so that you can hang it on something, so you don't need to hold it out in front of the camera. Well worth it. I took a quick set of sample shots in a poorly lit (several cheap CFL lights), messy room, showing Before and After setting custom white balance, using this product. ... show more

  • Nice gray panel, folds easily, works well.
Most of the time modern cameras can give you an accurate color rendition under normal shooting conditions. The problems start when your camera is fooled by unusual lighting, perhaps in areas of deep shadow, or worse, strange multi color sources that you might experience at weddings or over the holiday seasons. This is where the lightdow shines. Photographing this panel (positioned near your subject) your camera knows exactly what 18% gray should look like under those light sources and adjusts color renditions accordingly. This is a good little panel. It has a nice target on the gray side to aid in focusing and it folds easily and stores inside a decent zippered pouch supplied by lightdow. Priced at only seven bucks, this is a handy little gadget to have in your bag. With a bit of practice you can learn to set in camera CUSTOM white balances and take your important photos to a different level. ... show more

  • It's lightweight making it easy to tape to a target area or clip to ...
This is a handy little assistant that will help you dial in the proper exposure on your waveform monitor. It's lightweight making it easy to tape to a target area or clip to a stand, and it's large enough that it will be easily discernible on medium range to close up shots. Have an interview subject hold it right beneath their face before you start rolling and you can dial in your exposure IRE for both 18% and skin tones. **REGARDING 18% GREY** - I tested this in comparison to another 18% grey card I own under known lighting conditions on my waveform monitor, and my version is, in fact, 18% grey. Some reviews claimed that theirs is not 18% grey. While I can't see what product they received to know if it was a manufacturing error or operator error, I can confirm that mine is 18% grey. Will you get the same results that you would from the $300 grey exposure cards? I don't know because I don't have $300 to spend on one of those. However, the reality is that if you know your camera, know how to read a waveform monitor, and know how to expose properly based upon what picture profile you are shooting (log or something else), then this will work for you and will make it easier to dial in shots than guessing or using a smaller solution. For the price, you can't beat it. ... show more

  • Of course 18 percent makes 100 percent sense
I've Just started using it but so far it works nice. I'm able to get the focus in on what I need a let the camera take 5 seconds and then I my color is better in RAW.If a person uses this they will get much clearer video and stills in my digital camera .It's making everything a bit more relaxed when doing in the editing or putting anything together. This seems to work with my little Mini go pros and my bigger video cams and DSLR as well on video mode Well worth the investment. ... show more

  • Great Value For Its Purpose
This is a great product to assist with video color balance. After taking a quick shot I can adjust my color balance in camera or wait until post production editing. Easily fits in my bag, material can be wiped with a lightly damp cloth in the event that some dirt gets on it. Color accuracy in my opinion is great. I dont have specifics but Davinci Resolve has done well with white balance selection from this neutral grey. Material seems durable and is easy to fold. I take it put only for a few seconds and then put it away in a dark place pretty much right away ... show more

  • Colors are more accurate using this product.
This is a great little addition to my backpack of accessories. It folds up like those windshield reflectors, and takes up about as much space as your open hand when it's folded up in its zippered bag. I tried it as soon as I got it. Today is overcast, so I set my camera on "cloudy" and took a picture of my sleeping cat on his pillow. The second picture I took was of the grey side of this product, and then used that to set my camera to "custom white balance". Took another picture of my cat. The colors are definitely more accurate using this product. Worth every penny, and easy enough to use and put back into the bag in little time. If you use this to set your camera's custom white balance at the beginning of your shoot, you will definitely save time in post-processing. ... show more

  • Portable and work as advertised
This is very helpful in checking camera WB. The center has a cross sight that makes focusing easier so I dont have to toggle between auto focus and manual focus. The Camera detects the gray surface and adjust the color production properly, especially skin tones. It folds down to a small pocket size for travel convenience. This purchase is definitely a keeper. ... show more
