Compared to the plastic-this is really heavy!! I have had others and they are a great fidget toys, but this also exercises my fingers and coordination. It is sturdy AND they included spare parts and a tool to do it. I’m very impressed. I bought the blue and it is beautiful. Feels comfortable in my hand. This is perfect for teens and adults. Because it’s so heavy, I would not give this to young children - if they throw it they’re going to dent the wall or someone’s head. But it is great for an adult that wants something to strengthen their hand-(A surprising bonus) I will be traveling soon and wanted to take this with me. The case is perfect. Sturdy construction, screws can come loose as with any articulating device, so keep the included screw tightener in the carry case. It seemed a little heavy at first, but it's solid metal and can take a drop, and you get used to the weight. The action is smooth, just don't over-tighten the screws. Would not recommend for young kids. The Paint can start to chip after a while, but you're hitting metal on metal, so it's expected. It's capable of making loud clicks, but if you control the speed, then the noise can be reduced easily.

ONE MONTH UPDATE: the pain has started to wear off on the corners individual cubes. Have been using about a half hour daily. It's still sturdy and works well, but I'm taking a star off because it really shouldn't be wearing like this after just 1 month. Pros: made of pure alloy, color/texture is consistent, satisfying action, hinges are solid so far (1 day in) Con: may be a little large to manipulate one-handed for smaller hands This is the real deal. After seeing other products with bad reviews about inconsistent materials and colors, I chose this cube. The picture shows its weight and relative size. Very satisfying to play with, even the soft clicking it makes. This replaces a (long broken) Lego infinity cube I had made. It seems very durable, and I'll update if it breaks in the future. The only minor knock against this lifdea cube is that it's pretty big, about double the size of the Lego cube. If you have small hands, it MAY be a little tough to manipulate one-handed. Very soothing and diverting. Highly recommended.

I have a similar Infinity Cube to the one I bought, but it’s all plastic and very light weight. I thought I would enjoy this one better and so far I have. I found the action to be very smooth and pleasant to manipulate. The rounded edges are easier on my hand than the plastic one with sharper edges and the weight is nice and heavy. My hand actually gets a bit tired after 10 minutes or so of single hand movement, but to me that’s an added benefit since it’s like a “light” hand workout. After a week of daily used I have noticed some of the edges getting a little worn already where the edges make contact with each other edges, but I think that’s just the coating of the cube and won’t affect the handling of it. Seems like the cube pieces aren’t a “solid” color, but rather painted over a lighter color. I would have preferred to have it be a solid color as I really like the color, but it’s not a huge deal. The kit comes with an Allen wrench and two replacement screws, along with the case that is surprisingly well finished. I found that roughly half of the screws were a bit loose, so I tightened them. Tightening the screws doesn’t seem to have any effect with the smoothness of the movement, but if I find that they continue to back out though movement I’ll remove the screws and put a little blue Loctite on them to keep them in place. Overall, I’m happy with the product and would recommend it. 4 stars due to the wearing of the edges and that showing a lighter color.

The joints are super smooth making it easy for one handed fidgeting. The color is true to photo and the case is perfect for slipping it into or back out of your pocket. The clicking sound isn’t overwhelming like some other metal ones and it’s actually soothing for me and My kiddos. Great value and really durable. Comes with some extra joint screws just in case, and I do use the tool to make sure nothing is loose periodically. Great for any age that won’t throw it at you. Hahaha! Love it!

At 6.3oz/180g, this is a weighty aluminum construct with adjustable screws. I got the unpainted version due to some comments about paint wear. It comes with a snazzy red and black hard case and is very satisfying to manipulate. You can mix and match cubes with different colors if you buy more than one set. Great stimming device, but not discrete because it's shiny and clacky. Still, that's part of why I love it. :-)

Works exactly how I wanted it to- smoothly, with no stiff hinges or cracking plastic bits like the cheaper models do. You do need to periodically tighten the screws, but they make sure to send a hex key, extra screws, and instructions to keep an eye out for screws loosening. The color is wearing off, but that's inevitable when you're clanging two bits of metal against eachother over and over and over again. I'm considering getting a 3M protective film like what came with my dog's name tag- to keep multiple tags from wearing eachother out- both to make it quieter and protect the gorgeous colour. The weight took a minute to get used to, but I appreciate how truly solid it is. I expect to buy some in the future as gifts, or to keep in different places, but I don't expect to need to replace mine for a long time.
