These adjustable drawer dividers are convenient when something like a silverware tray isn't convenient or if you want to divide larger utensils that are taller. They can be adjusted very precisely with the ratcheting feature on one end of the divider, and then made more secure due to the spring contained in the other end. They don't work very well for dividing up a drawer in two dimensions because they bend when you put pressure across them. Although the mechanisms are good, the overall plastic casing seems a little fragile. Overall fine if you need to divide a drawer either lengthwise or crosswise but not both. ... show more

These are very nice and would look good in any drawer, but I needed something durable/substantial to use in my tool chest. These fit the bill. I like how they can be sized for different configurations and drawer depths and that compression holds them firmly into place, but they just don’t seem to work well if you place them perpendicular to each other as shown in some of the listing pics. Hence only 4 stars. They must have used smaller versions of this one for the perpendicular dividing in the pictures because this version doesn’t collapse down as far as those pictured. No tools needed; expand them to the length needed inside the drawer then lift them out and expand them a few more clicks before compressing and putting back into the drawer. Easy and they work great/hold firm even in a tool chest that gets beat up. Hope this helps ... show more

I have a bottom utensil drawer in the kitchen that is very high (7.5inches) and 18 inches front to back and side to side. I wanted to separate the utensils by functionality. I ordered these Lifewit 5 Pack of Adjustable Kitchen Drawer Dividers (2.36" High, 16"-22+"). I was able to expand and tension the dividers to that I could keep the utensils sectioned off. I stacked one divider on top of another to create a taller section. This way I could put taller utensils like funnels together in their own section. I used all 5 dividers in this one drawer and achieved the results I wanted. These dividers are made from durable ABS material and features high-quality EVA foam sponges on its ends which prevent scratches and damage to the inner walls of the drawer. You expand the divider by pulling it and collapse it by pushing the button. I recommend these drawer dividers. ... show more

These drawer dividers are easy to install, and stay put pretty well. However, as I got them out of their packaging, I thought they were a bit flimsy. They are plastic, with a spring loaded arm, and foam grip pads on each end. If you look at the pictures on the amazon page, it shows them being used against each other in a grid. That doesn't work at all. I was hoping to use one horizontally with three vertically, but as you can see in my picture, the vertical one pushes the horizontal one out of place. There's just not enough 'grip' on the ends to hold them in place with the perpendicular pressure. I honestly didn't think there would be, but wanted to try it. If you're using them all the same direction, with all the pressure against the sides of the drawer, they work just fine. Unfortunately, they don't really work for me, and I'll have to go back to my bamboo boxes. ... show more

    • Simple and inexpensive way to organize kitchen drawers

This is a very simple product - a sliding arm with padding that has teeth to lock in place, the main arm that has a spring loaded end and also with padding, and a button to release the teeth. The design makes it super easy to install, remove and adjust so one can get whatever division is required in the drawer. The only downside is the flexing that happens as you extend the inner arm. It's not a problem unless you want to insert one of the dividers at right angles against another one. Although one could put another divider at right angles on the other side and that would offset the pressure from the first one. They come 5 in a pack. Being adjustable makes them perfect for a variety of drawers. Not all my drawers have the same with/depth so I was able to use them where I needed them by adjusting the length. They are made of plastic, but they look fine in the drawer. Setting up is easy, just pull and adjust to the correct size for your drawer. If you want to switch them off to a different position or store them if not needed anymore, you just press the button and it will retract. Just make sure to position the divider in such a way you can reach that button if you need to. It has a rubber padding on the ends which helps the divider not to slide and make for a tighter fit. ... show more
