I ordered the 7 Wide as I had done a search on Amazon for Women's boots 7W. The wide in this instance was for the calf, not the foot so the shoe was a bit narrow for me. Had to return them although they are lovely and I would have loved to keep them. I will be careful in future to ensure where the "W" comes into play ... show more

There is definitely enough room in the shaft of the boot - enough that I can easily wear them over my jeans. The material is a bit stiff around the ankle, which is why I gave only 4 stars, but my hope is they will soften with use.
