I needed a brown pair of tall dress boots to wear to a wedding so that I can walk and dance easily. My knees are painful so heels are no longer an option for me. So I went on a quest. I read so many reviews. You just have to take a chance because some of these reviews leave me wondering if people even read product descriptions anymore. These boots had the look that I wanted but would they actually fit my 18" calves and short 5'3" legs properly. Imagine my surprise when I put them on and I zippered them up without any effort at all! I tell you, I am thrilled! The back is sorta like a ribbed sweater. It hugs your legs yet there is plenty of room for tucking in jeans or pants. The toe box is adequate. I can probably wear a medium weight sock with them. The footbed has some spring to it with a medium to low arch. I have high arches so will add an arch support. I may have an issue with the higher heel cup. It hits me above the ankle and may cause a blister until they are broken in. Overall I'm very pleased with this purchase and will get more wear out of them than I thought. ... show more

These boots are SO COMFORTABLE!

Dang, but I'm glad I chose these. I looked at tons of boots and tons of reviews before taking a chance on these. So glad I did! I'm wearing them as I type they're so comfortable and warm. I have size 10.5 feet and got size 11 (which I usually have to because rarely do companies make 10.5). They fit great. There's cushioning in the inside, and the soles are soft and silent rather than clompy when I'm walking. I didn't realize how much I'd like that the back half of the boot (from ankle up) is a stretchy material that enhances the fit and makes it much easier to walk in. The whole thing is quite attractive. It's not leather, so only time will tell how long it lasts before cracking, but this was a great purchase for the money. ... show more

So comfortable & Stylish!

This is an amazing flat boot - never mind the price. One thing I REALLY like is the back calf section of the boot is made of a really thick black knit panel. I never had this on a boot before, but it keeps the boot top feeling more like a snug pant leg, instead of a stiff boot top. Easy to put on, zip up, so comfortable, and easy to take off. Definitely recommended & I would buy again - and for such a great price, too! ... show more

Great all around boot!

I love this boot for its comfort, and all around value. The fabric in the calf allows for stretch, but maintains its shape on your leg. No need to break-in before wearing out!

Weren't right structurally

I really really wanted to be okay with these. I ordered a half size up and the fit was great. I liked the rubber sole very much; flexed for comfort/quiet. Easy to put on. The style and color were outstanding! HOWEVER; as comfortable as the stretchy material on the back makes these, they immediately slouched the entire shaft of these boots down around my ankles before I took even ten steps. The right slouched more than the left! The bunches around ankles then started to rub, especially in front. The stretchy material, upon close examination, seems poor quality-I could see where it would very possibly rapidly deteriorate, making the drooping even worse.
